Ween 12 Golden Country Greats. A masterpiece. Ween did it with Ben in the mold of a classic Nashville country lp. Aaron and Mickey only sang on the lp, they did not play instruments. Hired professionals handled the instruments (some of that town's greatest) and background vocals by The Jordanaires (of Elvis records fame)

They had 12 songs for the lp but 2 got left off (So Long Jerry, a tribute to recently departed Mr Garcia. And I Got No Dark Side, a great Ween country tune shame it was left off). But those turned up later on b sides and or online etc

WTSR Radiothon 1994 was my first Ween show. They just started playing with a full band in weeks/ months before (used to be 2 man band w 4 track player accompaniment)

Seeing the touring band pros during the country tour play on those songs PLUS all the evil classic Ween songs was something else. Those arrangements wow.

One of Ben's greatest achievements was facilitating the Arthur Alexander comeback.
