Ya was playing in open D tuning and it just stumbled onto itself that song. I saw a vid of some young girl ripping it up on electric guitar a few yrs back. The youth should have more Eno.

i used to play taking tiger mountain (the song) to lull the kid to sleep when i was a nanny

I remember not long after that big ol wedding in 1981 or so I heard a novelty song on the radio where the chorus repeated "...and Lady Di Di Di said stick it in yer eye..."

That Langley School kids choir record had some plays on WPRB back 20 yrs ago. Something really happy yet spooky about the production in a great way. The bells (or vibes?) and the acoustic gtr and of course the voices

yeah i've played a few tracks off of that in my day! they do my theme song, one year i did a show of music by people under 18 and played in in place of the rollers

Space Oddity. Band on the Run. I have such great childhood memories of hearing Band on the Run on a car radio or maybe sister's radio etc. And other solo Paul. We had a great music teacher in elementary school. Used to play us some great stuff in the 70s. Had us all play a little instrument on Let 'em In during class, mapped out the whole song. Wood blocks, triangles, tambo etc... fun

I had no idea as I was all Mr Rogers, Sesame St, Electric Company in my musical listenings then. And my lps set of Grimm Tales where Dick Van Patten was one of the voice actors. I think the first time I had an actual rock album was Bee-Attle George H self titled solo lp in about 1978. Blow Away single was the hit

I was playing the gtr part to David Wilcox Eye of a Hurricane the other day. That's when I tuned it down to open D. But.... it might not fit ... a bit too "that other station-ish"

Had 2 great different outdoor concert experiences in lightning storms. Both involved songs w/the word Hurricane in the title. The Wilcox song mentioned. And the more obvious Neil Young one. Sky just opened up w/fireworks and waterworks when those songs were being played.

the records do a version too, their singer wrote it (but the searchers released it first)
