Those sound chips are worth gold in the right hands. Emulators are what we have now.

I still love how so much early electronic music was made in DAWs and trackers on old Commodore 64s and even Atari computers.

I never got any of these weird games as a kid for the computer. Just a bunch of Arthur interactive storybooks, some Fisher Price interactive stuff, and Lego Island from my aunt <3

i very distinctly remember putt-putt on the big box computer at the place i went for kindergarten + after-school, but i totally dabbled in a barbie mystery clue based escape room type game that was only available on cd

wasn't huge on video games growing up, had a couple of whatever those consoles were that plugged directly into the tv where the data for the game was like... inside the controller

you just made me remember the rugrats movie cd-rom game my sister got me as a kid too. other than that i played my sister's NES and her limited supply of games as a smol bambino

i was just telling my girlfriend recently about this very formative teen titans game that i had on the original nintendo DS that fully does not exist anywhere online. spent a couple of hours watching different teen titans ds/gameboy playthroughs on youtube to no avail... starting to think my parents were buying me bootlegs from gamestop or something but they didn't know any better haha

It could have been an obscure educational game not for commercial release. But that def sounds like an interesting abandonware.

oh totally, it wasn't a fighting game like any of the ones i've seen. definitely remember it being more of a 2 platformer with weird little side puzzles and like, sticker activities

One memorable time, me and my cousin were in the airport and as we're waiting for our flight, the attendants took us to one waiting room and there was and N64 console with Pokemon Stadium 2 with so much snacks and pastries! Along there, we befriended with two twin brothers heading to London and all had a blast til we went our separate ways!
