@fossil i've heard the same! the only functional console i've got at the moment is switch but i think nintendo literally just announced a switch remaster like two weeks ago

I have a hacked 3DS so I could emulate the DS version if I felt like it.

I was hearing this from the other room thinking "This isnt Zelda". Chrono T is super solid if you want that classic JRPG experience with a more interesting structure/story.

FF7 and FF9 are two other RPGs I've been urged to play, along with the SMT games lol

doom came first, but was pretty ancient compared to quake in terms of engine evolution

I remember a friend in elementary school had kings quest!

I first randomly discovered Police Quest on a youtube recommendation after viewing all time throwback, Hugo's House of Horrors! Awesome and realistic game, then got into Space Quest. 1, 2 and 3.

I remember being 14 and watching Garry's Mod videos on youtube, but never even got to play the first Half Life till I was 17 or 18 on my PS2. I love the Half Life series <3 <3

i had the orange box however many years back and tried to play half life 2 and was like "this doesn't make any sense this sucks!" only because i had never played the first one

@ PAX The first game provides some context to how the world is in that state in 2, but I feel like they could be played independently from each other without an issue lol

It does get pretty difficult later on, but it gets really fun at most parts

yeahhhh it starts off weird, and some parts of the game are divisive, specifically the canals and highway sections

The only DOS game I'm familiar with is Trivia Monster, and mainly due to the jumpscare that happens if you lose

My favorite modern puzzle game is still Baba Is You. The man who created that game is nothing short of a genius.

I haven't heard of Trivia Monster, but played a scarier monster game, Nightmare 3d. Never finished it though and in Hugo 1, I fairly get stuck in an underground part of a haunted house, avoiding some mummy from killing me to get to the next room, where some mysterious old guy will ask you random historical questions in saving Penelope, LMAO

Looked it up, Baba is You looks cute! My other mystery game is Maniac Mansion on Nes.

Man, I really love the focus on exploration/interactive games back in the 8-bit days. Only so much to be done graphically, leaving the rest up to imagination. I love that kind of mystery.

The Chrono Trigger one is what I adore the most on here. This current one playing sets like a mood in the sunset and twilight.
