OK not to be a dick, but the Strokes first record came out about 20 years ago, and they don't sound like they've evolved musically one inch, especially the guitar players. Think of the development of bands like Wilco or Radiohead, all the different avenues they explored. These guys, especially the guitar players, sound like they've only got about three ideas. Julian Casablancas sounds great, though--he should go solo and get together with some real musicians.

Digging this Ringo Deathstarr track, though

I never listened much to Gorillaz, but I like Jamie Hewlett's work; particularly the stuff Peter Milligan wrote like King Leon and Hewligan's Haircut.

Not to be pedantic, but does everyone know what a suicide squeeze means?

I could make make an educated guess, but I don't think so...

It's in baseball, when there's a runner on third base, and you send him home like he's going to steal home, and you bunt. But if you miss the bunt, he's dead. Hence the suicide.

Today I learned!

There'a also the safety squeeze, that's when the runner makes sure you've got the bunt down before he runs for home. But the suicide squeeze is much more exciting!
