Norwegian trumpeter andcomposer Nils Petter Molvær is a pivotal voice in Nordic jazz since the late 1990s. Molvær's work transcends genre, drawing from ambient, electronica, dub, post-rock, and traditional jazz improvisation. He was born in 1960 in Sula, Norway.
