I wanted to thank dj Jali for playing Electro Group but some solar flares made my electronics wacky.

Marcus yesssssssssss. The ol' throw down!

slap the hog with a bbq sauce mop

This song has an incredible overdubbed 4 keyboard part

Interlocking melodies

eargasm

good evening @dave!! yes its one of my favorite parts of the album~~ absolutely soaringg!

i think i first heard it on your show

hey hey dave!

Gryphon with the chess move

Oooo Gryphon! A fav from my college days. :D

@andrew i always thought this was music to listen to while getting lost in the forest :)) and @mats i also thought youd like the album cover

always love a good stoney wizard being wizardly

pretending his finger is a cigar

The Philly Art Museum used to give gryphon pins out as you entered. I hope they still do.

There's a song in this album with a great little bassoon and (maybe) crumhorn exchange. Very cool.

Roff that is dope

CRUMHORN

Robert Crumb horn

Sitting on the river and this goes quite nice.

I discovered I had somehow acquired 3 copies with one having a black cover instead of blue. Gave one to my brother and one to my nephew.

I first heard this Gryphon record when I was at WMUC it was in our prog section it was great to dj with those records. The 1st 2 Gryphon records are very different…

The Ben Franklin bridge is green tonight...

What color where the gryphons?

good evening @roffle!! i imagine itd be easy to imagine that a castle is right around the corner while listening to this.. and good evening @ira!! oh i actually hadnt listned to them before this month so i have a lot of catching up to do :) did you have a preferred track? and @andrew omg i dont think i know what a crumhorn sounds off the top of my head :0

On the 1st Gryphon album is one of my all time fave song called the Astrologer

omg its with the griffin on the album cover!! yess i have that bookmarked ill make sure to listen to it these days!!

Apparently Gryphon spells crumhorn with a K in the credits.

oh wow i just looked up what it looks like.. itll really take us back to the early renaissance

yes that raga transition was rad. Fretless bass!

🚀

yesssss the mighty TFUL282

occitan music!! but performed w lovely inventiveness! and good evening @c blue!! welcome :))

SF show is sold out.

the one and only!! and @andrew i was wondering if you were going to try and check it out~

digging the show, cheers

Flying to SF on Thursday.

also mad respect for the ascii art 🥂

Damn! I hope they play this. :D

andrewnyc make sure you demand The Operation

@c blue ah (◠‿◠✿) so glad you could tune in, i hope ur having a lovely evening! yess i needed to make the page stand out somehow so i had to learn some few pictures here and there~

and @andrewnyc omg you have to record some of it for us here at the station!!

@andrew so jealous!

I used to write philosophy papers and print em on a shitty old dot matrix printer that always fucked up the formatting LOL

I'll post what I can on the gram. Not sure how camera friendly they're going to be.

Back in the 1900s.

andrewnyc the band itself is super chill. The venue might have rules and such.

To paraphrase Cartman: "I just saw TFUL282 now who wants to touch me??"

Love the midevil vibe!

Lol

A goat should watch it's back.

Haaaaaaaaa!!

Some villagers know what I'm talking about! LOL

october imo is the most medieval month! @roffle and @andrew im so jealous but so happy you could catch it!! :) ~ and @mats loll which philosopher did you like writing about the most??

https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex005/uploads/goatsimulator3/original/1X/d1af03a7e9d2d428625ff28de09a067aaf09a0b2.jpeg

@rosasolis Paul Feyerabend is pretty cool. He blended science with straight up anarchism LOL

capra

cabra too

Roff, chasing loose goats is the best workout ever. All a game to them.

If I have the chance to talk to any of them I'll mention all these noise-fans around Philadelphia that would flock to see them should they tour there.

Andrewnyc see if the drummer still puts his hihat like 9 feet in the air, it's hilarious.

@mats oooh eliminative materialism?? i feel like ive read some excerpts of his things or at least referenced in some novels,, and @andrew yess hopefully the turn out convinces them to go around! and @rob aw they can be so cutee

It would be the best From The Notebook meetup ever.

@Mats, A mountain GOAT is a tough act to follow.

@rosasolis, Feyerabend called it anarchistic epistemology. Mad science/wild science.

Roff true. Those mtn goats love to stand on sheer rock surfaces. Amazing balance and foothold.

Last time I was in SF was for The Residents. Hoping for something equally mind-blowing.

TREMBLING STRAIN

what a vicious name

@Mats, I would like a pass on anymore head butting. :)

Tis a good one, a la Throbbing Gristle. Controlled Bleeding.

Roff LOL

this makes me want to throw my couch into a crowd of people

Ok, finally some of that noisy guitar we were promised. ;)

Nocturnal Emissions

yess i would have to get a way for wprb to table!! ill be intrigued to see what tracks they end up playing after all these years :0 and @tandy i knoww all these avant-folk groups end up sounding like industrial bands.. and @mats ooh im intrigued ill read about him more and relay my thoughtss

TAndy or the band's drummer

@rosasolis please do. I try to stay current in bleeding edge thinking but there are some crazy philosophies out there today.

hi rosalina https://i.pinimg.com/736x/18/45/0a/18450a48e9de8f2a4e181ca6d3503ab6.jpg

Ozzy I have the teeth pic to end all teeth pix forya Lol

Ozzy check out these chompers https://c8.alamy.com/comp/J86ARF/cannes-france-27th-may-2017-ekaterina-samsonov-actress-you-where-never-J86ARF.jpg

actress from movie where Joaquin Phoenix goes after bad men with a ball peen hammer

good evening @ossy!! oh no i remember that scene.. :(

House in the Tall Grass is a beautiful title.

Picture

yess and something that pairs well with the delicate psych~~

@rosasolis, I read an interview with the "doom witch duo" japanese band BlackLab. Two japanese chicks who play the doomiest stuff. They were so nice and polite in the interview. One is a doctor!

Rosasolis level pictures

dj, love how you find wonderfully damaged psych! Show highlight for me.

that guitar solo melted an ice cap just now

@roffle (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)🏠🌿 ݁⋆⭒˚.⋆ and @mats im glad! i felt similarly about this one.. especially that little stoner rock interlude; and ill have to check out BlackLab! they sound wonderful!

that guitar solo rewired my cortex

and following up with this is such a power move

😸

Sangeet Team rules.

🙏🏼

(ꈍ ᴗ ꈍ✿) 𝄞:♫⋆｡ ♪₊˚♬ﾟ.🎻

Pyramid! ¡Que escandalo!

yesss its just all too suspicious!!

happy Zeuhl

happy zeuhll foreverrr.. so wonderfully warm

This has been such a good day for music

hopefully makes the mondays pass by quicker :)

Acabou Chorare Part II

@rosasolis, we were listening to Gong's "You" while driving around during the weekend

@marcus thats one of my favess!! makes sense why i like this one sm... and @rob oh lovely! where were you driving to?

I love this track ^^

hii @jo!! :)) im so glad!! i love those sweeping arrangements~~

This is the same sound as Novos Baianos

@rosasolis, to a park to go birding

Bellisima

the reminds me of cilibrinas do eden

@marcus sim bellisima! i would love to do another all brazilian show.. and @rob ooh any birds that you saw after the autumnal equinox? :) and @andrew omg thats rita lee from os mutantes right? i havent listened to her group but i would love it if its similar!

I saw Rita Lee, she played the New Years Eve show in JP on year

@rosasolis, I went to the Chesapeake Bay last week and I saw some Brown Pelicans out in the bay, including a flock of 14. I've/we've also seen some migrant warblers (Magnolia, Black-and-White, & more) closer to home

It was supposed to be someone like Chiclete com Banana but they backed out and she was the replacement.

Thought this was a Daniel Ash piece for a minute

It was Rita Lee's last show, 2012

Good evening DJ rosasolis :)

@marcus ooh how was it tho?? on a side note paraiba looks so pretty... and @rob ooh do they usually congregate like that? i hope you were able to catch some photos :)

good evening kelly!! :)) how have you been? honestly i get it, a lot of coldwave leaves me wondering who the singer is

It was a great show, free, on the beach, plenty of beer and fried fish

that was rita lee! they put out one album and it's a good one! but i actually meant to say secos e molhados

Been great apart from getting my coldwave musicians all mixed up

I had no idea who she was at the time but everybody was making a big of it

This band sounds like Bauhaus teamed up with Swans

NOOOOOOO

noooooo

Ruh-roh, tech-diffs

I was in the zone with that lmfg

yesssss

YAY

@rosasolis, pelicans do flock like that. the day before I was there somebody counted 88 flying and lounging around the same park!

Pelicans are like seagulls on the gulf coast.

ahh im sorry i dont know what happened in the aether, perhaps type o negative was too heavy for the stream

@rosasolis, it was the pelicans!

@roffle, i bet they are!

@rosasolis, is this still Little Nemo playing?

ty for the Type O 🙌🖤💚

@rob it was type o negative!! i guess maybe that and the pelicans can explain the mishap! and @c b blue of course they are always a joy to play on the air~ :) and @marcus oooh fried fish on the beach... what type of liquor do they drink up there? and @andrew secos e molhados are also wonderful! and @kelly they all sing soo alike

Cerveza Skol 600 ml garrafas vidro

hmm what if i prefer some cachaçaa

Serra Limpa is my favorite Pinga

Getting that 3rd set vibe already.

it's not truly October until Type O Negative plays. On repeat

@marcus mm i need some i wonder if they have it at a total wine.. and @andrew the hours are bleeding together!! (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿) and @c blue im going to make sure especially as halloween approach that we hear more of them :)

Lamento, rosasolis, mas tenho que embora! Another great show as always!

When I was a kid there was a fullish spooky moon one Halloween. Best of weirdo days past.

@marcus have a wonderful night!! thanks for tuning in :) and @roffle ooh did you notice anything even more out of the ordinary??

@rosasolis, this pelican is heading off to sleep. ty for this excellent show!

@rob have a lovely evening rob!! may there be many more avian dreams and sightings your way!

Tough call, everything was out of the ordinary then rosasolis... :)

Caustic Window!

@roffle there can be something v nice about that! :) and @mats i thought you would like the name! love finding these acid techno dj names

tarentel makes good musical accompaniment for drifting away to sleep

it took me so long to find this to share with you. but its important. i have it memorized verbatim and it's my heaviest rotation vocal stim. Timestamp 48:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIZwTJbgoDc

that clip of my Queen was taken outside The Troc

thank you for allowing me to share this meaningful piece of my life with you

Thank you so much for the magical music journey this evening, one of the best shows ever!

@c blue ill make sure to check it as soon as the show ends :) thank you sm for sharing it with me!! and @andrew yes! i feel that way a lot about jefre cantu ledesmas work.. lovely for an afternoon reverie too...

@tandy ah that makes me so happy to hear :) have a lovely week!!

oooh, i'll have to look into other jefre cantu ledesma sounds
