I totally agree! My first trip to the Peaches in Richmond VA my final semester of college (1979) I bought The Kick Inside and The Cars first album iirc.

Plus I saw Kate Bush on Saturday Night Live that 1978-1979 season

love those early cars albums too

And the Richmond AOR station played Kate Bush a fair amount
