Because he was a child prodigy, he was sometimes called the Mozart of classical Indian music. She is a Carnatic vocalist, singer and musician, trained by Lalgudi Jayaraman and T. R. Balamani. She has also received training in Hindustani music from K. Mahavir Jaipurwale and Ajay Pohankar.
