Yes! Gipsy Kings "Hotel California"! This is the only Eagles recording I willingly listen to. (Otherwise I have a Mojo Nixon "Don Henley Must Die" opinion of the band. And I say that with all due respect.)

I was just reading about Harry Nilsson's recording of "Many Rivers to Cross". He ruptured his vocal cords and was spitting blood on the mic during the recording. John Lennon was the producer.

There's a good documentary on Nilsson's career. I didn't know much about him before I saw the movie.

Shameful admission here, took me ~40 years to get the Dead. The last 5 have been quite a revelation. On some level's I'm almost glad I waited, maybe. This is killer.
