heu jimbo whats up
Tim (host) 3:29:48 PM
hey
sean burns 3:43:36 PM
It's like old times floating in the pool on a Saturday in the summer with scratchy vinyl!
Tim (host) 3:43:55 PM
man that sounds good -
sean burns 3:45:03 PM
Sitting in the shade on the deck for a while, That sun gets hot. I'm waiting for some trees to cast some shade to float in
G Jax 3:45:27 PM
What year was this Iggy interview?
Tim (host) 3:45:29 PM
yeah its sticky out there
Tim (host) 3:45:56 PM
im guesing 78-79 i thinnk it ws a monning show like good morning american -
Tim (host) 3:46:17 PM
wasnt there a david somenbody who was hosting the morning sho win the 70;s cant remember his name
sean burns 3:46:58 PM
Edie!
G Jax 3:47:06 PM
ha. It sounded like that actually about the time of 14 year-old version of my wife went up to him and asked him for a cigarette and he’s like “you look like a mouse”. Plastic fantastic for one of those record store appearances. 78 or 79 would’ve been around when that happened.
G Jax 3:49:27 PM
Little darlings
G Jax 3:50:15 PM
My dog spots go through to his skin, so I guess it’s like a tiger stripes
Tim (host) 3:53:22 PM
@ g yeah that would make sense
Tim (host) 3:53:47 PM
@ g funny -- i used to go to plastic fantastic tooo
G Jax 3:58:35 PM
I’m thinking actually that was earlier than that. Thinking of the timeline in how old my wife is. 79 is when Tom Petty hit on her at the bar outside the tower and she’s like I have to go to school tomorrow. My mom‘s coming to pick me up. He’s like “you don’t need school“. Funny times. She is way cooler stories like that because she live near the tower so her and her sister saw like everybody. Her sister was front row of Thin Lizzy back in their prime. All kinds of cool stories like that.
Tim (host) 3:59:30 PM
man lucky her -- yeaht that was the tie - at least i think so
Tim (host) 3:59:37 PM
time
G Jax 3:59:58 PM
I certainly think so. Me growing up in the suburbs of Jersey I didn’t have any cool stories like that, though.
G Jax 4:00:19 PM
Plus, I wasn’t a chick.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 4:00:20 PM
This Eggs song is timeless (for me at least)
Rob from Maryland 🦀 4:00:27 PM
And hi Tim and everyone
Tim (host) 4:00:45 PM
hey rob whats up
sean burns 4:13:29 PM
You can't play Ubangi stomp from that trashmen album anymore since they eliminated DEI
G Jax 4:14:31 PM
Remember the commercial that use this song with the animals going nuts like the cat and the dog destroying the house I don’t even know what it was for. It was a funny commercial though. This perfect song for that.
jimbooooo 4:22:23 PM
D.A.M. yessssss
G Jax 4:23:47 PM
Similar but less commercial than “I might like you better if we slept together“. If you could call that one commercial even.
Tim (host) 4:24:13 PM
sure romeo void -- i remember them
G Jax 4:26:19 PM
Romeo Void, that’s right. I was drawing a blank on the name
Tim (host) 4:27:12 PM
missing persons ws big around then too..
Tim (host) 4:27:40 PM
what are word for... high school hit 1982
G Jax 4:29:20 PM
Very 82-ish. All that stuff. The year I graduated high school.
G Jax 4:30:10 PM
missing persons had top-notch musicians though. Zappa alumni.
Tim (host) 4:30:41 PM
really? didint know that
G Jax 4:31:26 PM
Yeah, Terry Bozzio and Warren Coello
G Jax 4:32:15 PM
Warren Cucerillo I don’t know about the spelling of that. Obviously addiction doesn’t either.. And look it just said addiction. I’m not changing that. But yeah, Warren went on to play with the Duran Duran Duran Duran Duran Duran. They always said he was dumb and down, but I don’t know he had a big hit with ordinary world, which I think is a great song.
G Jax 4:33:16 PM
And Frank had a cool attitude about his guys going on to pop stuff. He didn’t see his selling out. Steve I two going onto Whitesnake. Frank was like they ain’t gonna make money doing what I’m doing so they might as well get paid for it. Or worse to that effect.
Tim (host) 4:34:16 PM
huh -- had know idea .... i saw duran duran her on the princeton campus - i like dthat song ordinary worl - pretty good radio show
Tim (host) 4:35:07 PM
radio song
G Jax 4:39:03 PM
Yeah, ordinary world was sort of like their “comeback“. Cause they hadn’t had a hit in a couple years and the lineup changed a little bit with a guitar player, leaving. But I didn’t realize how long ago that was. I don’t know for some reason, I thought that was the 2000s but it was 1993. Geez time man. Just flies.
Tim (host) 4:40:34 PM
wow 1993 yeesh -
G Jax 4:41:24 PM
Yeah, you know you’re old when 1993 seems like yesterday. Well, maybe not yesterday but the day before yesterday. Still doesn’t seem that far ago.
Carlos Ramone 4:41:30 PM
Great song..great band
Tim (host) 4:41:51 PM

Rob from Maryland 🦀 4:56:05 PM
Pelicans have nostrils "o exclude water from the nasal passage, they have narrower internal regions of the nostrils.[37]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_pelican
G Jax 4:56:41 PM
That bird is using my credit card…That bird is a liar. I’m Brian Fellow…..
Tim (host) 4:56:57 PM
@ g jax nice!! lol
G Jax 4:57:22 PM
When SNL was still funny. I love Tracy Morgan.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 4:57:56 PM
"The genus Pelecanus was first formally described by Carl Linnaeus in his landmark 1758 10th edition of Systema Naturae. He described the distinguishing characteristics as a straight bill hooked at the tip, ****linear nostrils****, a bare face, and fully webbed feet." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelican
Tim (host) 4:58:57 PM
yes! bringing on the pelican facts -- i knew you would cone through
Carlos Ramone 5:01:41 PM
Rob… I live about an hour and a half away from the consign dam.. two of my neighbors recently went once said it was worth it, and the other said it was not

G Jax 5:07:16 PM
We have a white skunk that hangs outside of our house. Sprayed my dog the one night. We named her Zsa Zsa. She is beautiful though.
Tim (host) 5:07:53 PM
welp always good to have a skunk pal named zsa zsa
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:08:45 PM
This Black Velvet Flag song is ... :-DD
G Jax 5:08:50 PM
Hey, in your fun facts I’m fairly certain 99.99% of people that named skunks outside their house name him Pepe Le Pew. Unimaginative zeros.
Carlos Ramone 5:09:06 PM
I was a big fan of EVA on Green Acres
Tim (host) 5:09:07 PM
i agreee -- so basic
Tim (host) 5:09:21 PM
@ carlos -- secet crush>?
iConJohn 5:10:26 PM
Hi Tim, enjoying 2nd half of your show. Is this really the first I tuned in to Scratchy Vinyl? My loss.
G Jax 5:10:33 PM
Ha this is fantastic. I have never heard this version of this song before. All I wanted was a Pepsi……
Tim (host) 5:10:59 PM
hey iconjohn - thanks for stopping by - here every sat until the end of the summer
Tim (host) 5:11:22 PM
@ g jax- belive or not theres a bunch of funny cover verions
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:11:51 PM
@Carlos, I haven't been to Conowingo Dam in many years. My Burlington Co. NJ birding friend went there in the past year or three (or a good birding friend of hers did) and apparently there aren't as many Bald Eagles as there used to be? I don't think that there haven't been as many unusual gulls reported there as were reported in the 90s (which is the main reason I drove there from the DC area)
G Jax 5:12:52 PM
Yeah, this would be a perfect song to do a silly cover of. I just never heard it. Since this is the first one I’ve heard I’m fairly certain, I’ll think all other covers suck.
Tim (host) 5:13:43 PM
2 g jax perhaps-- but they are pretty funny
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:14:04 PM
TV Party!!! :-DDDD
Tim (host) 5:14:05 PM
@ g jax i was gonna play some of them but im gonna run out of time
G Jax 5:14:10 PM
My favorite part of this song is when they scream out names of TV shows from that era
Carlos Ramone 5:14:16 PM
The suburban punk argument would always be which version of TV party was better the single or the LP this was based on different songs being mentioned on both of them
Tim (host) 5:14:22 PM
@ g jax i know
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:14:26 PM
as performed by Pelican Nostrils and the Conowingo Eagles
