There's been an American White Pelican near DC, just south of the Beltway in Virginia. Not all that close to shore https://ebird.org/checklist/S376965855/?view=photos. I was lucky to see it on Saturday; I missed it Friday. Less than an hour's drive for me. It's pretty rare right around DC

@rosasolis, no, not my photos! I don't have a camera. Some pelicans spend the winter on the Delmarva Peninsula, so maybe this one is heading over there a little early. It's the first one I've seen anywhere in almost 10 years

@rosasolis, the last American White Pelicans I saw were near Laredo Texas during early 2017. I saw them a lot when I was birding out west. In the late 90s there was one in DC, which we were fortunate enough to see as it flew up and down the Potomac River

@rosasolis, I've seen all of the Kurosawa films perhaps over the years, and I think I have his film biography somewhere, I read a long time ago, but I never connected the dots there. Thank you for sparing me considering any AI adventures. I know how to make AI agents all day long. But I make them tell stupid parrot jokes after they answer my queries. It's just dumb. But it will build basic software and make joke. I am just a witness at this point laughing way too much.
