'Rowche Rumble' has become my and my husband Rob's theme song since the company he works for was acquired by Roche Pharmaceuticals about 2 months ago. Also -- I was a Georgetown U. student when this 9:30 Club live recording was made! I missed this golden opportunity to see The Fall! Phooey!

Teresa, that's a bummer about your husband's company. And also that you missed seeing them at 930. I could have seen them myself, but I see from a calendar that it was a Tuesday night and I had to be at work the next morning at 7:30 a.m.

The last time the Fall toured the US, I wanna say '06, me and buddy Kevin closed down the video store we worked at early so we could catch the show at the church in Philly. It was when Smith broke his hip so he spent the entire time seated with lyrics strewn about a table

@Rob -- Actually, the acquisition/merger-thingy with Roche is a really welcome thing for us. My husband's company -- PathAI -- produces pathology slides that AI can read and diagnose most cancers more accurately than humans (both fortunately and unfortunately -- sorry, Pathologists!) -- and even customize the treatment to the individual who has gotten the dire diagnosis. The merger means that PathAI is no longer a start-up signaling more money and stability for the company and its employees.

Also -- That it was a Tuesday night explains a lot about why I didn't attend as I had a very early morning German language class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Thank you! We're about to embark on a huge life-changing chapter in which we have to move back to Western MA and I will become the primary caregiver to my 91 y.o. mother and my 86 y.o. mother-in-law. So the extra money will help a lot!
