Good morning Stitching Pink! Been thinking about the jean jacket in general since last weeks mention.

Lots of jean jacket info coming your way this morning!

You know it's been on my mind for a while, but I would love to see denim jackets make a comeback. One of those would have been perfect for how mild May and most of June was!

Jean jackets definitely come in and out of style but for sure there are lots of them in stores these days!

I'm def gonna find one for me, I've had enough of hoodies for now

Jean jackets are perfect for mild temps. They are really the perfect jacket, casual but can be kind of dressy too

100% agree! A dark rinse jacket can go anywhere! Bing Crosby famously had a tuxedo made out of denim after he was refused entry while wearing a dark rinse jeans jacket.

The jacket was not deemed dressy enough

My fav jean jackets are more of a duck cotten or canvas material(?) - one leopard print & another is a 'coat of many colors' w/an olive/chartreuse base w/various floral strips/patches & embroidery adorning it.

i just sold my favorite jean jacket on my wife's vinted page. it was a 1990ish doube RL hickory stripe. just too big for me today. it went for some really good money as all that vintage looking workwear is hot.

no, vinted. you pay no fees or shipping costs. my wife has made about a grand so far selling some of her old goth club wear from the 90s.

When I was selling on ebay 20+ yrs ago, my first intl sale was to Japan - a 70's Lee jean jacket. I'm reacquainting myself to prep for selling online again - sooo much has changed since I stopped 15yrs ago.

I've been destashing vintage needlepoint canvases. amazing what sells!

i got offered half the asking price on this and was more than happy. i think i got it at filene's basement for not much money.

amy lee, you'll be amazed at the price of vintage denim now. i was in a vintage shop in beacon ny and saw a pair of used carhartt painters bib overalls priced at $135. i have two pair in my closet from my housepainting days.

i think their 1969 line came out around 2000.

friend of mine worked at ralph lauren in the late 80s and he said they would buy vintage workwear and just deconstruct it and make patterns directly from the old pieces.

In the mid-80s he was making clothes out of old quilts which caused a whole uproar. And they were really expensive even back then. The skirts were maybe $1000 each. She doesn't have one of those. lol

i can see people getting bummed out over that.

it's like making a lamp shade out of a folk art canvas.

It's happening again and also controversial.

But at the same time a lot of these items end up in landfills.
