Sultan Khan (1940-2011) was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He was a sarangi player belonging to Sikar Gharana. He was a sought-after accompanist as well as solo artist, and one of the founding members of the Indian fusion group Tabla Beat Science.

"Bombay" Jayashri Ramnath was born in Kolkata in 1964 or 1965. She is a Carnatic vocalist, singer and musician, trained by Lalgudi Jayaraman and T. R. Balamani. She has also received training in Hindustani music from K. Mahavir Jaipurwale and Ajay Pohankar. Plus she studied bharatanatyam dance and learned to play the veena.

Recorded live in January 2000, with Embar S. Kannan (violin) and Neyveli R. Narayanan (mridangam).

Dr. Natesan Ramani (1934 – 2015), commonly known as N. Ramani or N. Flute Ramani, was an Indian Carnatic flautist. Ramani was born into a family of flautists, learning first from his grandfather, Aazhiyur Narayanaswami Iyer. He later became a disciple of his maternal uncle and eminent flautist, T. R. Mahalingam.

"Garbhapurivasa" is a pseudonym for a quartet of 19th Century composers from Karur, Tamil Nadu.

Lalith J. Rao was born in Bangalore in 1942, and passed away June 3rd, 2026..

She started learning music from Rama Rao Naik, of the Agra gharana. She also completed her Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Communication Engineering, but gave up that career for music.

Apratim Majumdar (born 1978), is from Kolkata. He was tutored by Rabin Ghosh, disciple of Alauddin Khan, for over nineteen years. Apratim also received training for a period of three years from Partho Sarothy, disciple of Dhyanesh Khan and Ravi Shankar. Presently he is training under Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, one of the disciples of Ravi Shankar.

Amit Chatterjee is the son and disciple of Sankha Chatterjee.

Chitti Babu (1936 – 1996) was born Hanumanlu Challapally in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. Chitti Babu was his nickname at home, and it became his stage name. He was a prime disciple of Dr. Emani Sankara Sastry.
