Hopefully! The weather service is saying for Princeton "This Afternoon: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms." This should apply to Rutgers as well as Philly

And it looks like your area has better chances for storms and rain than DC does. Though of course that could change

Not so much DC, though it did rain and the events were put on pause (but there was no severe thunderstorm warning for the area around the events on the Mall). But parts of Maryland (not mine, fortunately) and Virginia got hit hard

I don't think so. On the other hand, the fireworks were going to start >1 hour after normal time, then there was delay due to a speech, then there was a further delay due to the rain. So the fireworks started after midnight! And could be heard over the border in Maryland!! Up until like 12:35 a.m.

That's awful, especially since kids probably weren't awake to enjoy them

LOL, they are pretty imposing with the way they warn you up front.

I grew up seeing them and assumed it was normal lol
