@rosasolis, I saw the Mute Swan that's been at a couple of lakes in Germantown, MD. It's pretty rare right around DC and I haven't seen one in a couple of years anywhere https://www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/mute-swan

and the bird I saw https://ebird.org/checklist/S354103968?view=photos. It was standing on one leg preening, maybe 40 feet from the trail that had dogwalkers and the like

@rosasolis "Brought in from Europe as an ornamental addition to parks and estates, the Mute Swan has become naturalized in some parts of North America, mainly in the northeast." I used to see them on the Delmarva Peninsula routinely, but I think they're numbers have declined and I haven't visited there in a decade anyway
