Esoterica! 4:14:19 PM
Hi, everyone!
Mike Lupica 4:19:33 PM
I love when the Temptations get super weird.
Esoterica! 4:23:11 PM
I’m embarrassed to say I never heard that psychedelic temptations, so good.
Esoterica! 4:23:51 PM
I forgot about this Fun Boy Three tune, too. Catchy.
Debbie Reichard 4:24:00 PM
Thoughtful lineup, mr. tuna!
Mike Lupica 4:27:33 PM
@Esoterica, check out "Welcome Tomorrow" from the Temptations' '73 LP. Nuts.
Esoterica! 4:28:17 PM
Will do, @mike!
Mike Lupica 4:28:29 PM
Hello Red Headed Stranger.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 4:35:55 PM
@Charlie the Tuna, we were having a little difficulty hearing your back announcing over the oceanic sounds just now
Rob from Maryland 🦀 4:38:14 PM
This looks and sounds like an awesome show. But I have to step away now for a bit.
Charlie the Tuna (host) 4:38:39 PM
i'll try and correct that next break ... thanks rob
Esoterica! 5:16:49 PM
Love Fela.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:24:48 PM
This James Brown is great!
Ross McLochness 5:26:36 PM
This is the best James Brown song I’ve never heard!! Great set Chaz
Esoterica! 5:29:59 PM
Sounding great! The bubbles add mystique.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:32:41 PM
@Charlie, I was having trouble hearing the oceanic sounds over your back announcing just now 😇 (So you corrected it! :-) )
David Shortell 5:32:51 PM
Did anyone here see the Flipper Renactment Society last week?
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:32:53 PM
Plus FLIPPER!!!!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:33:20 PM
@David, I didn't even know that there was such a thing. So of course I did not
Esoterica! 5:34:01 PM
Flipper!
David Shortell 5:35:11 PM
Well, that's what they should have called themselves anyway. To take a cue from Pylon.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:38:04 PM
@David, really!
David Shortell 5:43:31 PM
Only the drummer remained from Flipper's founders. Guitarist Ted Falconi wasn't on the tour.
Esoterica! 5:54:31 PM
Congrats! Great show.
David Shortell 5:54:46 PM
StarKist debuted their mascot Charlie the Tuna in 1961. In 1965, the Washington band The Scotsmen released their sole single "Sorry, Charlie". It reminded me a bit of the Kingsmen's "The Jolly Green Giant", also inspired by a canned foodstuff!
Ross McLochness 5:55:09 PM
Excellent right out of the gate, bravo.
the_dude 5:55:49 PM
Really loved the transition between the tracks on that last set - Great show Charlie tuna!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:56:06 PM
@Charlie the Tuna, my wife and I both loved your show this afternoon. Ty, and hopefully we'll catch you next week
Charlie the Tuna (host) 5:56:17 PM
thanks dude
