yeesh - the rain couldnt have been any more poorly timed - ugh

Yup. I was about to go back to the spot along the river I was birding at this morning, as another rare bird showed a couple of hours ago. Since it was raining (lightly, but still) there this morning, and it took me a while after I got home to dry out, I think I'll stay indoors

This morning's was a tropical bird (Fork-tailed Flycatcher) hiding in trees from the rain, very very rare in Maryland. The latest one is a marsh bird that I see almost every year somewhere (Least Bittern). Being dry is a good idea on this cool day. Plus I get to hear more of your show!

we ahve a little bright colored bird that shows up every summer- and i cant tell if it soemones pet bird that escaped or not - but ive never seem it before in our area anywhere else

yes! it was only the fourth i've ever seen anywhere

every once in a while in summer i see it flying around
