just doing some prep work for the day, slicing onions, washing my chef hat, etc

that's an interesting point about ignorable / constant background music and its effects on our consumption of it. in the medium of radio specifically, i feel like the presence of the DJ adds an important curatorial element that forces attention, especially WPRB where it feels more akin to friends showing you some cool music they found

going back to that background music thought - i feel like there's a parallel with food (BAM!). like, sometimes i'll be eating something while watching tv or something, and even if it is delicious, it will be a less enjoyable experience than if i were putting more intentional focus on just eating the food and savoring it

trying to think more lately about doing one thing at a time. (i say this as i do indeed have wprb on in the background) - BAM!

BAM! yeah, for me there's nothing like watching a "food vlog" during lunch, but the simultaneous experience detracts from the food and the vlog...

(WPRB the worthy exception of course)

my favorite thing to cook is ANYTHING MADE WITH MY EMERIL LAGASSE AIR FRYERS, BAMM!!!

but actually hmm i feel like lately i've had some really fun surprises spontaneously putting together some kinda creation with leftovers that turn out surprisingly really good. like, better than some meals that i put a lot of time and prep into, haha. its a fun surprise when it works out
