"Stubbs" was an obscure Japanese group naming themselves after a song by "Hatfield and The North" (The Stubbs Effect). The group was creating music in the Canterbury scene vein during the mid 80's on 3 releases which didn't get much circulation. Led by keyboardist Kojiro Yamashita, who went on to release similar music under the name Canterburilogy.
