Masqualero (1983–1991) was originally named "The Arild Andersen/Jon Christensen Quintet", the group soon changed its name to Masqualero,in celebration of the Wayne Shorter composition. Sort of a Norwegian jazz supergroup, featuring Arild Andersen (double bass), Jon Christensen (drums), Jon Balke (keyboards), Tore Brunborg (saxophone) and Nils Petter Molvær (trumpet).

Arnaud Quevedo & Friends (AQ&F) is lead by Arnaud Quevedo, born in France in 1981, and teaching music in Conservatoire since 2007. After performing musical tributes to Zappa, King Crimson, Gong and Magma, he started making things under his own name in 2020.

Aksak Maboul (Belgium) The band formed in 1977 by Crammed Discs founder Marc Hollander and his musical partner Vincent Kenis. The aesthetics of Aksak Maboul include deconstructing and fusing many different genres, from rock, jazz, and electronics to fake African, Balkan & minimal music. They were around 1977-1980, then reformed as “The Honeymoon Killers” in 2014. Aksak Maboul suddenly became active again after 2020.

Utopianisti is Finnish composer / multi-instrumentalist / producer Markus Pajakkala's brainchild, started in 2010. It's a studio project where the line-up changes for every song. Pajakkala plays the drums, woodwinds and some keyboards himself and composes and engineers all the material. They have a widely varied output.

Stormy Six was the Italian member of the Rock In Opposition movement, founded in Milan Italy in 1965. They began in the mid 60's as a folk group with psych influences and left wing tendencies, composing protest songs.

They performed and recorded until 1983.

RIO founding member Samla Mammas Manna (Uppsala, Sweden) was formed in 1970. In 1977, when their guitarist was replaced by the far more experimental Eino Haapala the style changed so much that the new name Zamla Mammaz Manna was chosen. This incarnation existed for some 3 years or so, after which the band disintegrated with two members forming the new project Von Zamla.
