"Excuses" by Kim Gun Mo. some worldly echoes Sun Feb 22 with bibim on WPRB Princeton 103.3 FM

Hello!

Yes, 90s K-pop! Good morning

Hey Jim! hope all is well

Do you have any Roo'Ra?

Its the next song actually lol

the classic 3!4!

Yes! I was driving. Amazing.

Nice! haha

I'm just getting out of work, the kpop really hits different with the overcast rain coming down right now

I miss southern Californian weather! haha

That's funny how the last couple times I visited SoCal it actually kind of looked like this for a couple of days. Except for the cold temperature is in the snow on the ground

The east coast weather has a kind of charm though with the roughness

Just worried about the blizzard!!^^ how are you Tandy?

This is great. I mostly know the older stuff. 2000s I was into the Seo Taiji emo nu-metal albums.

Blizzard's gonna be worst up north and the shore I think.

That's good to hear. How are you Jim? I will definitely check out Seo Taiji

wow what a classic rofl

Now I'm feeling 2000s

Thanks!

I'm also worried, very much so! Worried for my coworkers and myself and my father since we have a LOT to clean on Monday. It'll be heavy wet snow too, so I can't just plow it with the shovel and call it a day

Lowk praying it busts and we get the low end, I can't deal with 2 feet 😭

Wow 2 feet is insane! I can't even comprehend that lol. Hope everything goes well

A lot of people know K-pop now but Seo Taiji was the absolute biggest deal back in the day. The early stuff is very dance/r&b then it turned into a metal band, then he came back and did electonica ballads. I've got every record.

I will definitely check them out! Sounds so cool, my parents probably also grew up listening to them

I have always hoped for an early K-pop revival cause the records seem to never get reissued. Very ahistorical genre. I like to get stuff on cd if I can.

Definitely agree Jim, do you have any favorite records that I should check out?

All I know is the central shore and toms river is gonna get HAMMERED. If I didn't have to worry about losing parking, I'd totally just hunker down in seaside and experience a shoreline blizzard since that hasn't happened in over 15 years!

A lot of it is streaming now but a lot just disappeared if you don't have the record.

Some other ones off the top of my head are Turbo, Young Turks Club, Sechskies, B.B., JYP... H.O.T.

Thank you so much Jim! really trying to learn more about this genre cause its so cool

I have found a lot on youtube, from fan uploads. If it was on a small label that went out of business, it doesn't make it to the streaming services.

Will definitely do some digging Jim! ty!

Morning! Coming back from a road trip and was finally in range to tune in and w o w. Y2K Korean playlist hits hard. Bummed I came near the end of all this with SECHSKIES. Hope you guest host again in the future bibim and will definitely check out the previous artist I missed in this set!

Thank you so much Huy! I really appreciate you tuning in

Good luck with the storm, great show

Thank you guys!!

playing some jazz as we wait for the next dj.......
