Your mention of "songs for animals" made me think of it

This whole album is supposed to "evoke a similar experience to spending time in nature and staring at flora or bodies of water," which, I don't know if it does that, but it's pretty sick electronic music

Some birds don't even fly at all

I think apple's ai emoji feature is garbage but I do love having an emoji of a kiwi bird

They are well grounded, and on the fast track to extinction sadly.

Invasive species find them tasty.

I was in nz this winter and it really is a shame, luckily they are in a better state then kakapo

It sounds like dogs get real curious by there sent and can really easily kill them since they dont have a sternum

How was it generally?

Absolutely amazing, the bushwalks were fantastic

Abel Tasman is probably the most beautiful place I've seen

A road trip is so worth it

I didn't get to see much of the west coast which is where I think a lot of the great forests are but really anywhere there is amazing

I would love to just drive around there for a month or two. A high school friend went on to go full on Margret Meade and she became an anthropologist studying the Māori. Crazy world.

I was there for 3 weeks and I think that's about the lowest amount of time able to make a trip really worth it

3 weeks is still pretty decent immersion. Not bad.
