Dan, that sounds a lot like DC's "effort". Out here in Montgomery County, things went a lot better, though my block was the last one in my immediate neighborhood to be plowed

Luckily we have a nice cafe on the block, I'm known for chatting up the baristas a couple times a day....

Yeah, the Joel Ross record has some great stuff on it and I'm a big fan of Maria Grand and Josh Johnson, the sax players. Weird Blue Note cover though, it seems like it was formatted for cell phone swipes....

Nice job by Turner Classic Movies opening up African Americans history month by showing a series of Tarzan and King Kong movies. ….. oy oy oy oy . Read the room please!!

I've got a nice little stack of mostly Blue Note and Prestige stuff. I could do a "all 45s" show , if needed....

I was hard to see for a long time, it took a while to come to home video. That, WHAT'S UP DOC and PAPER MOON are all sorta pitch-perfect.

Re-watched WHAT'S UP DOC and it really knocked me out. Incredible momentum.

Almost bought a Baby Face Nelson soundtrack recently, just because Mickey's mug was on the cover....

He actually stuttered and stammered a little in the episode making it more realistic.

Been rewatching TIME TUNNEL which is awful andWILD WILD WEST which hold up pretty good. Ross Martin is the true star of the show.

Loved TIME TUNNEL as a kid, but years later I realized it was all about the design and I was actually too young too follow a plot at all....

Recently picked up a box set of 16 FRIDAYS episodes....

The set has Devo, The Clash and The Stray Cats! Loved Michael Richards as the destructive little kid...

I remember Larry David being on the show but can't think of any characters he played....

Mentioning Stray Cats reminds me I saw Brian's previous band, The Bloodless Pharaohs open for Pere Ubu at the Hot Club in February 1979.

I believe Larry David cribbed a lot of his routines from Larry Block real life character on Joe Franks great radio casts.

I consider Bloodless Pharaohs as greatest local band name. Never thought we would actually be ruled by Bloodless Pharaohs

I'd heard a bit of Joe Frank over the years. I'd never heard about After Hours. How many times must I thank Patrick in a three hour show?

Larry actually thought he was a failed loser. But he carved out a nice career for a pedestrian looking guy.

Bruce Lee was slated to be the star of Kung Fu tv show but network suits were leery of having an Asian American lead star. Real deep thinkers they were!!
