I only went out once today to buy the NY Sunday papers at the local 7 -11. I was little later than usual and thanked the manager for saving for me. She said we only get one copy of each .You’re the only person that buys them. How we have fallen as a country!!

Still, I can't help but love that in times of struggle, communities hold tighter with little acts of kindness.

Was going to head out to the Chris Smither/Loudon Wainwright concert in West Phila tonight . The ice dissuaded me. And the $110 tickets.

Costs less than a Wainwright ticket, I'll tell ya that much.

I understand the artists don’t make any money from recordings now but it seems a bit onerous.

I would often attend low priced Sunday night folk shows at ST MARYS on the UPENN campus. Before I went in I would record John’s show on a cassette tape on my portable radio. A true loyal MYCHOR fan

It’s not rare for US cities to have no print newspapers any more. This Tom Paxton and John McCutcheon song makes me think of Tom Paxton’s Daily News.

I've had Nico's first LP since before its CD reissue, but I forgot Jackson Browne wrote that song. "The Royal Tennenbaums" gave it some belated fame, followed by use in a televised car commercial.

I hate music bio pix but that NICO 1988 movie was great viewing. Not your atypical formulatic go through the motions where’s my Oscar?

Was that a documentary rather than a biodrama? Then I saw it at the Film Forum. I think the only actress to ever play Nico was Christina Fulton in Oliver Stone's "The Doors".

I somehow missed “Nico 1988” in 2017. I read that Trine Dyrholm starred as Nico. The documentary I saw at the Film Forum in 1995 was “Nico Icon”.
