We're almost as ready as we can be. No travel plans, the birding field trip on Sunday cancelled, will stock up on chili and soup both canned and 'fresh'

I'm keeping my fingers crossed they choose to shutdown my building on Saturday night so I don't risk getting stranded trying to get home Sunday morning.

I mean... A foot of snow potentially would keep any delivery vans from making runs during the midst of it... Fingers crossed.

Yeah, there's a definitely potential for a huge swath of ice in the south going up to the DMV. Although I wouldn't trust ANY totals maps until Friday morning. Right now the models are still not in complete agreement, and it's still too far out for some.

For CNJ we're anticipating either straight up snow or snow followed by slop then more snow.

@TAndy, it sounds like you monitor Pivotal Weather too?

I lurk the forums on americanwx and keep up with a couple of local meteorologists, all of which DO use pivotal weather among a couple of other tools.

@TAndy, I'm not on that forum even as a lurker, so I just look at the model maps whenever necessary, normally summer & winter temps and snowfall. I do follow local mets on social media so I do keep up
