The Allmans had a huge Trenton Speedway show, and the two often blend together in peoples minds

I was looking up the Englishtown 77 show thinking PW meant that but... there was a 1975 Trenton Speedway show with Kingfish (the band not the Amos n Andy character) and Bob Weir may have been in the lineup according to the advert. Aerosmith headliner. Also Poco, Slade, Nils Lofgren, Mahogany Rush.... diverse lineup indeed.

Love the excerpt from a news report of the chaos from the Trenton Speedway show "...but as Lofgren croons his toons, the Hollow Moon afternoon goons moved to soon and with baseball bats hastened to drive the concert-crashers back...". They don't write em like that any more.

Apparently they misjudged the popularity of the headliner, Aerosmith, and tried to cap off the attendance at 8,000. After gate crashers, failed baseball bat experiments and finally the "let's let the rest of 'em in free whatever" decision it may have turned out to be 14,000 total freaks. Go freaks
