Jon Hassell (1937-2021) was the creator of a style of music he described as Fourth World, a mysterious, unique hybrid of music both ancient and digital, composed and improvised, Eastern and Western. This was his final release.

The Viola Crayola was an American jazz fusion trio, centered around the Viola brothers. They released one LP in 1974. Bassist Billy Jolly went on to play with the Butthole Surfers from 1982-1984, The Viola brothers unfortunately never did anything else.
