Jon Hassell (1937-2021) was the creator of a style of music he described as Fourth World, a mysterious, unique hybrid of music both ancient and digital, composed and improvised, Eastern and Western. This was his final release.

David Hykes was one of the earliest modern western pioneers of overtone singing, and leader of The Harmonic Choir. This is a solo effort, and this track features percussionist Bruno Caillat.

Chad Wackerman was born in Long Beach, California in 1960. From 1981 to 1988 he toured and recorded 26 albums with Frank Zappa, played and recorded with Allan Holdsworth (1982-1998), Steve Vai, Andy Summers and others. Allan Holdsworth plays on this song.

The Viola Crayola was an American jazz fusion trio, centered around the Viola brothers. They released one LP in 1974. Bassist Billy Jolly went on to play with the Butthole Surfers from 1982-1984, The Viola brothers unfortunately never did anything else.
