Hey Rat Princess. Haven't heard you on air for a bit. This is a crazy track.

The piece, known for its industrial sounds, atonal music, and jazz influences, calls for 16 player pianos, two live pianos, three xylophones, four bass drums, a tam-tam, seven electric bells, a siren, and three airplane propellers. Antheil described it as "soms koud en glimmend, soms brandend als elektrisch vuur" (sometimes cold and glistening, sometimes burning like electric fire).

I actually just heard of a cool hack where you can find people who want their cars transported from one state to another, so you get paid to drive their car there and gas is covered! would be a cool way for a free road trip

I remember the time 'I' lost the fuel pump in Savannah Georgia. I was with my future ex- wife. So 'we' lost the fuel pump. We were on our way to California. Rode all across the South, got some great Tex Mex, this was c 1985?

the best of memories can be made on the road

We called it the Vanilla Ice Cream Truck. The first leg of the journey was down through the outer banks, ferry to Okracoke, then the longer ferry to Cedar Island, and Moorhead City. Former Mrs. Smiths Pie truck. Four on the floor. Mrs. Wiggs handled that truck like a master.

I slept all the way to Vidalia Georgia.

I love this story lester! I can only dream of getting to go on such a cool trip!

I have to be careful when bringing up old memories. I think there was this French fellow who remembered a certain Madeline. Then he wrote five books. The remembrances of things past.

this is true reminiscing can put one into a pit of nostalgia, but it is nice to remember these things every once in a while

Right. Then we drove up to Baton Rouge. Across Texas. Texarkana. I sent my parents a post card from there. Then Paris Texas. There was a cutout bin there in the freeway around the the old town center. I bought a cassettte tape of 'the Waitresses' and a Joy Division cd

ahhhh I love using my cds/cassettes/vinyls as remembrances of specific memories!

I wanted to visit a lot of the the NASA installations across the South. I did make it to the Livermore visitors center. That would be California. But anyway, We did get to many installations in the South. every one was better than the last one. One that stands out in my mind was a particular visitor center that had newspapers from around the globe announcing that a man had walked upon the moon.
