Recorded in bandleader Jim Marlowe’s studio End of an Ear (Louisville, KY) off and on over the last three years, the core Ankh crew (Marlowe, Chris Bush, Dan Davis, Ryan Davis, Shutaro Noguchi) gathered when they were able to get serious about play, along with some new and returning guests (Eric Lanham, Jeannine Lonardo, Trevor Nikrant, Jenny Rose, Ryan Swigart, Ben Traughber and Seth Manchester.) How do so many people (having this much fun) make a record so singular and cohesive? (from band camp description). Love this sound! (Esoterica)

Best radio station in whole world. You got that right ESO! I listening to the stream in the future, it’s 7am Wednesday morning in Tokyo. Having a coffee and not the normal 5pm Tuesday beer.
Esoterica (host) 5:07:43 PM
sweet, enjoy!
Esoterica (host) 5:08:24 PM
I just had some good sushi on Nassau street at a Japanese deli but I am sure not as good as what you are getting:)
John Coffey 5:13:09 PM
Sushi is good, audio stream is fine. Not digging listening via iPhone speakers. Should have brought a Bluetooth speaker.
Esoterica (host) 5:14:22 PM
oh yeah - can see that.
John Coffey 5:17:39 PM
ESO, I normally listen to PRB terrestrial FM on a kick ass old school stereo. I know you get it.
Esoterica (host) 5:17:56 PM
oh yeah for sure
Carlos Ramone 5:22:34 PM
John C ..I will be having the normal 5 pm beer for you

G Jax 5:27:15 PM
Billie Eilish nicked that arrangement for one of her tunes. What that tune is I can't tell you cause I'm not really her audience, but I do hear it on the office radio. Well, it's not a radio. It's whatever the hell they streaming I work with youngins
G Jax 5:29:36 PM
I meant she took the arrangement from HARRY Nielsen's version of one. I know Nielsen isn't spelled like that, but I'm talking into this thing.
G Jax 5:31:33 PM
By the way, I love Three Dog Night I don't mind telling you
Esoterica (host) 5:32:06 PM
I love three dog night!
G Jax 5:33:59 PM
Love, never been to Spain. I love their version of that. Awesome mama told me not to come. Both sung by.Cory
Esoterica (host) 5:34:41 PM
my bro David loves the version, too
Esoterica (host) 5:34:52 PM

and hi everyone!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:37:41 PM
Hi Esoterica!
Esoterica (host) 5:38:01 PM
Hi:)
G Jax 5:38:46 PM
My wife cracks up at the lyrics of never been to Spain. She like thinks I'm nuts and that song sounds like it comes directly from my head. It's a dude who just rams out all kinds of shit and ultimately can't make a decision. The life of a Gemini. Although Hoyt Axton wrote it, and I don't think he's a Gemini.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:39:15 PM
Hola, ¿como estás, Esoterica?
Esoterica (host) 5:39:20 PM
lol g jax
Esoterica (host) 5:40:37 PM
doing fine, rob, thx
Esoterica (host) 5:40:56 PM
how's by you
G Jax 5:41:16 PM
Interesting fact. Well interesting to me anyway. The chick who snorts Ajax in 'Up in Smoke' was actually the one who named the group Three Dog Night
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:41:45 PM
Axton was born on a March 25, so that makes him an Aries?
Esoterica (host) 5:42:23 PM
what?! cool, G Jax
Esoterica (host) 5:42:27 PM
true rob
G Jax 5:42:31 PM
Yeah I think I looked that up when my wife was laughing at the worst of this song. I didn't remember he was an Aries, but I knew he wasn't a Gemini
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:42:40 PM
I'm ok too, Esoterica. I went to Fort McHenry in Baltimore to see a bird (Brant, a goose), that I hadn't seen in 10 years.
Esoterica (host) 5:43:08 PM
nice!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:43:20 PM
G Jax, that's amusing (the "Up In Smoke" thingy)
Esoterica (host) 5:43:20 PM
maybe I should take up birding:)
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:44:00 PM
And I even looked at one of the statues and another bit of the monument. And bought a t-shirt
G Jax 5:44:13 PM
I could really get into birdie.
G Jax 5:44:28 PM
ING. Stupid thing.
New Jersey's Only Andrew 5:44:52 PM
heeeeeyyyyyy
Esoterica (host) 5:45:22 PM
yo, Andrew!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:45:23 PM
Esoterica, it is fun. Around here Brant are normally found in winter on the coast & the lower bays, where I hadn't been for ... a decade. So I got to go somewhere I'd never been to *and* see a bird
Esoterica (host) 5:46:57 PM
right, sounds like you do, rob
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:48:15 PM
G Jax, it is fun. Get up early (sometimes), go out to a nearby park, look for and listen to birds.

G Jax 5:55:45 PM
I kinda do that informally already Rob just take the dog out and look and listen. Also this past summer we went out on the salt marsh skimmer (I think that is what it's called) in Cape May just to see seabirds. Unfortunately in was a rainy windy day and not as much to observe as usual
Esoterica (host) 5:58:32 PM
I like going to the lookout at cape may, too
Rob from Maryland 🦀 5:59:00 PM
Let's tango with The Residents!
Esoterica (host) 5:59:33 PM
let's do it!
G Jax 5:59:54 PM
Ever been to the Welcome Center in Ocean City. Awesome bird watching there
G Jax 6:00:34 PM
Ocean City NJ not Maryland
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:00:42 PM
@G Jax, yay. And, Cape May is a fabulous place for fall migration
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:01:13 PM
I knew which Ocean City you meant!
G Jax 6:01:37 PM
I figured you did, but I was just clarifying seeing as Maryland is in your name at all
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:02:51 PM
I haven't been to the Cape May area since winter 2009 but I'm sure I've stopped at the OC Welcome Center.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:03:25 PM
I appreciate your clarifiying
Carlos Ramone 6:05:27 PM
I went birding with Park Rangers at Paterson Park on Black Friday..cold and windy
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:05:53 PM
I think I saw talk of a WFMU listener/dj birding meet-up a few years ago when I listened to that station more. I thought about going, but things ended up going on that day/weekend plus it would have been >3 hours away
Esoterica (host) 6:06:37 PM
sounds like a cool field trip tho a long one
Carlos Ramone 6:07:27 PM
Happy to see Rangers back at work and getting paid
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:07:29 PM
@Carlos, did you see anything? It was pretty cold and windy down here too but my wife and I did hear a Fox Sparrow singing while we were out
G Jax 6:08:03 PM
I would think that OC Welcome Center would be pretty well known to birders - or nature photographers in general. Pretty amazing. Pretty serious photographers always set up there
Carlos Ramone 6:09:29 PM
Nothing out of the ordinary..coopers hawks and many red tails..They are replacing bridge across the falls. Closed for a few more weeks
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:09:36 PM
@Carlos, I agree. Several good birding locales around DC were closed during the multi-year I mean -week shutdown recently
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:10:56 PM
Carlos, wait, where is this Pat(t)erson Park? Baltimore? NJ?
Carlos Ramone 6:11:33 PM
