During the past 5 minutes I've been having trouble getting WPRB on Apple Music, radiorethink, and streamguys, all on my laptop. KSPC from California is playing fine on Apple Music right now

rn though all three are streaming just fine, ever so slightly offset so there is a slight echo

@RD if you want a decent prophylactic, I always take something called AirBorne when I feel a sickness trying to take hold. My BFF likes Zicam but AirBorne works for me.

My brother has requested I bring 3 bottles of pinot noir and one of whatever I want so I'm glad to make that contribution.

@rosasolis, I liked whatever I heard from Jimmy Cliff but didn't pay close attention

I rewatch Videodrome regularly. More into Scanners these days but Videodrome absolutely saw the 21st century coming.

we were banned from Videodrome growing up but other far worse things were allowed, go figure

Rosasolis I grew up with Scanners but the movie touches on neurotypicality and neurodivergence in a cool way. I just think Cronenberg hit a stride with Scanners, as well as eXistenZ, and Crimes of the Future (new one) is amazing.

Scanners is on HBO this month. Never saw before so maybe tonight. :D

The Shrouds I found underwhelming; Cronenberg is just bummed out at age 80 more than anything.

Rosasolis great question, I think Videodrome is aging well, and eXistenZ is way ahead of its time. Crimes of the Future too is spot-on re human evolution and pollution/toxins.

@rosasolis, the transition into Chrome then out of Chrome may be the best transitions I've ever heard on your show!

Possessor is one of the most violent films I've ever seen, but it all has its reasons and isn't just a gore fest for affect. Possessor is intense.

I started watching Eastern Promises cuz Naomi Watts is 😍 but I just couldn't stay with it. :/

One track, maybe Pierrot Lunaire, sounded like Franco Battiato, looks like they were contemporaries.

yes!! Arturo Stàlteri the leader of that group was a contemporary and his late eighties album explore similar concepts
