Hola!
Lizbot (host) 5:01:03 PM
Greetings!
Lizbot (host) 5:05:20 PM
@Number 6 - How was yr concert last Thursday>
Francis 5:05:30 PM
You can't tell me to join the chat!
Lizbot (host) 5:05:45 PM
Hi Francis!
Francis 5:06:56 PM
good afternoon
Lizbot (host) 5:07:05 PM
@Francis - My sinister plot worked
Number 6 5:08:38 PM
It was pretty good. People brought in their synths for everyone to play with, then someone gave a concert. The next one is Dec. 4.
Number 6 5:10:56 PM
On Sunday I went to an 8 hour synthfest at the Rotunda, and there was free food as well.
Lizbot (host) 5:11:48 PM
@Number 6 - Which series was this again? Is it related to that Musica Practica / Elettronica Viva group Eugene from UPenn's music department runs? I've gone to a bunch of their events over the years and they often have a bring-your-own-synth element
Lizbot (host) 5:12:42 PM
@Number 6 - The Sunday thing being long synthy and at The Rotunda and with free food reminds me of the old Gate to Moonbase Alpha series that used to happen there, but that hasn't happened in yeards
Lizbot (host) 5:12:59 PM
@Number 6 - Or years! But also yeards
Randy Marthins 5:15:19 PM
Those first few bars sounded lime foreigner "double vision"
Lizbot (host) 5:15:30 PM
Hi Randy Marthins!
Randy Marthins 5:15:33 PM
*like
Lizbot (host) 5:15:56 PM
@Randy Marthins - oh yeah! maybe that's why it sounded familiar with i first heard it!
Dale Hazelton 5:20:36 PM
hey now. some nice sounds.
Number 6 5:21:05 PM
@Lizbot- I don't think that the Smithville synth night is related to any other group. They do have events listed on Facebook.
Kerroffle 5:21:19 PM
Hey Lizbot! This is a cool killer.
Lizbot (host) 5:21:23 PM
Hi Dale Hazelton!
Lizbot (host) 5:22:10 PM
@Dale Hazelton - Glad you're digging the soundz
Lizbot (host) 5:22:20 PM
Hi Kerroffle!
Lizbot (host) 5:26:19 PM
@Kerroffle - I assume you are referring to the Kelly Moran track - the techo-y one?
Kerroffle 5:29:06 PM
Yes, but the set as a whole is quite satisfying.
Lizbot (host) 5:30:44 PM
@Kerroffle - Glad you're enjoying it! The music washing over me in studio is calming my nerves after the worst drive I've had here in a long time! Usually the drive is uneventful, but there were multiple major jams and crazy drivers today! Glad to make it here in one piece
Number 6 5:31:01 PM
@Lizbot- Here's a link to an earlier one, they have one every month. https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/Calendar.aspx?EID=17464
Number 6 5:32:15 PM
@Lizbot- Sorry that the drive was so nerve wracking.
Kerroffle 5:32:35 PM
I don't know if you take it, but I swore off 95 & 295 long ago. All arterial traffic in Jersey is shitty as a rule though.
Number 6 5:33:30 PM
I'm lucky, I get to go up route 1 the whole way.
Kerroffle 5:34:06 PM
BYOSynth Number 6? Too cool!
Kerroffle 5:34:48 PM
I used to go up 130 a lot in the old timey days.
Lizbot (host) 5:35:11 PM
@Keroffle / @Number 6 - Ugh, a big part of it is because of some truly inane roadwork happening on the PA turnpike right now. I take the PA Turnpike/I-276 to Rte 1 to I-95 to Rte 206 into Princeton from my corner of Philly.
Lizbot (host) 5:35:36 PM
@Number 6 - Oh cool! I gotta look up how far that drive is from Philly
Number 6 5:36:17 PM
People bring store bought ones or ones they made. The Speak & Spell toys are popular for circuit bending.
Kerroffle 5:36:44 PM
I lived close to 1 in North Jersey. Madness and endless Bedlam.
Lizbot (host) 5:37:37 PM
@Keroffle / @Number 6 - Roadwork along that route is nothing new. I can't think of a time that at least one of these roads wasn't having at least some roadwork. It's that the WAY the traffic on the PA Turnpike was just recently rerouted this week - NIGHTMARE. So bad, causing major backups during even off-peak hours. I wonder how long they're gonna leave it like that!
Number 6 5:38:31 PM
https://circuitbending.miraheze.org/wiki/Speak_%26_Spell
Lizbot (host) 5:39:10 PM
@Kerroffle - Rte 1 is why is take 206 as soon as I reach that exit! I still gotta drive on a stretch of Rte 1, but I get onto 206 as soon as I reach that Lawrenceville exit. 206 is gorgeous, and as long as you don't get stuck behind a tractor, it's a far more pleasant driving experience than Rte 1!
Bike R (pledge!) 5:39:22 PM
Moonage Daydream one of the best of David Bowie!
Lizbot (host) 5:39:40 PM
Hi Bike R!
Kerroffle 5:39:57 PM
The roads with names like King's Highway, tells you it's still a work in progress.
Alan Parsec Paidup 5:40:02 PM
Lizbot!!!! Hello!! I am so happy to say that today I am able to listen to your entire show. Yay!! :)))
Lizbot (host) 5:40:25 PM
@Bike R - Indeed. And I like this cover because it's not trying to sound much like the original. I don't see that much of a point in covers that try to sound exactly like the original and play in the same style
Lizbot (host) 5:40:51 PM
@Number 6 - I loved my Speak & Spell as a kid! And also loved that Speak & Spell album by Depeche Mode growing up!
Lizbot (host) 5:41:07 PM
Greetings Alan Parsec Paidup!
Number 6 5:41:09 PM
@Lizbot- The roadwork is never ending. They finish up one section, and then start on another. I was glad when they finally finished the route 1/turnpike interchange.
Alan Parsec Paidup 5:41:14 PM
Lizbot: Really enjoyed that first 2 squares track!!
Lizbot (host) 5:42:13 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Yay! I'm glad you're able to tune in for the duration! I really am digging that entire Joasihno album. Definitely one of my favorite new releases!
Lizbot (host) 5:44:04 PM
@Number 6 - Yeah, the rte 1/ turnpike interchange work was frustrating. Now it's the Rte 309 to I-276 coming from NW Philly that's super super dangerous right now. i don't know what they were thinking, it's so crazy, and has created an endless jam
Number 6 5:47:15 PM
Those projects take years! :(
Lizbot (host) 5:49:29 PM
@Number 6 - Yeah, and the thing is, sometimes the roadwork isn't that disruptive to the traffic pattern. Whoever came up with whatever is going on on the rte 309 to I-276 interchange is demented! It's truly ridiculous
John Coffey 5:49:40 PM
Hi Lizbot, this Meridian Brothers is a group that can really help with my Spanish! And of course Mexican TV soap operas.
Lizbot (host) 5:49:51 PM
Hi John Coffey!
Lizbot (host) 5:51:40 PM
@John Coffey - I love this guy. It's really just one guy - Eblis Álvarez from Colombia - no brother, an intentionally confusing name!
John Coffey 5:51:42 PM
Going back in chat to driving behind tractors, such a part of my drive on Eastern shore of Maryland.
Lizbot (host) 5:55:29 PM
@John Coffey - I'll still take being stuck behind a tractor from one of the many farms along Rte 206, a very old country road, than the traffic of Rte 1!
Bike R (pledge!) 5:56:07 PM
rte 1 is the very worst!
Lizbot (host) 5:57:20 PM
@Bike R - Pretty pretty bad!
Lizbot (host) 5:57:43 PM
@John Coffey - All I know about driving in Maryland is the Beltway!
Dale Hazelton 5:58:01 PM
love 206 from sussex down through newton etc etc.
Number 6 5:58:30 PM
Route 1 seems to generally work for me. Also I can get cheaper gas at the WAWA there.
Bike R (pledge!) 6:02:58 PM
@lizbot -- also agree about covers.
John Coffey 6:07:56 PM
The nuns at Waldron Academy made us see A Man for All Seasons. I want my 2 hours of life back.
Lizbot (host) 6:08:02 PM
@Dale Hazelton - Yes! I took 206 all the way up to New Paltz, NY one time on a gorgeous spring day! Great drive!
Lizbot (host) 6:08:44 PM
@Bike R (pledge!) - Yes! (Re: covers) Otherwise I may as well play the original if the cover doesn't have an interesting twist!
addie🐍🐍🐍plum 6:09:08 PM
Hellooooo folks! Finally made it to my couch this evening.
Lizbot (host) 6:09:55 PM
@Number 6 - I end up on the full stretch of Rte 1 and no 206 on the way home from the station frequently because I stop to get groceries at that Nassau Park Blvd shopping center on the way home
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:10:32 PM
Hi Addie! Welcome!!
addie🐍🐍🐍plum 6:11:10 PM
I think I would rather drive on the Schuylkill than ok route 1 in NJ.
Lizbot (host) 6:11:27 PM
@John Coffey - hahahaha! I take it you too were raised Catholic like me? My dad's Catholic schooling really drilled in me a reverance for Thomas More! Then he attended St. Thomas More High School, no less!
addie🐍🐍🐍plum 6:11:31 PM
Heya Alan!
Lizbot (host) 6:11:40 PM
addie🐍🐍🐍plum! Hello!
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:12:15 PM
addie: You mean the Shurekill???
Lizbot (host) 6:13:21 PM
@addie🐍🐍🐍plum - I truly despise the Schuylkill Expressway. I think I might take Rte 1 over I-76! I encounter jams on the Schuylkill at the dumbest times...Like late at night...WHY?!
Lizbot (host) 6:14:08 PM
@addie🐍🐍🐍plum - Thank goodness for Kelly Drive! I take that as a Schuylkill alternative as often as possible when coming to and from NW Philly!
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:15:27 PM
Lizbot: I "only" had two accidents on the Shurekill, both were on an on ramp ..
Lizbot (host) 6:18:42 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Oof. Scary. People drives like maniacs on the Schuylkill. I know the instant I merge onto it if I made the mistake of using it right before a Phillies or Eagles game, the traffic is godawful and often lines up with the starts of concerts i'm heading to
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:21:12 PM
Lizbot: Short on ramps are a bitch, should I try and make it or put on the brakes???? flip a coin...
michael gudgeon 6:21:43 PM
sup gang!
Number 6 6:21:50 PM
The Shurekill is like the DC Beltway, ALWAYS messed up!
Lizbot (host) 6:22:19 PM
Hi michael gudgeon! Howzit going?
Lizbot (host) 6:22:52 PM
@Number 6 - I do not enjoy The Beltway! I am more used to the Schuylkill, so I'd still take it over The Beltway!
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:24:19 PM
Number 6: When they first put the Shurekill in as a Super highway, it was like trying to fit a Turkey into a lunchbox, not enough room..
Lizbot (host) 6:24:38 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Ughhh, yeah. My most-despised waaaaay-too-short/sharp angle on-ramp I use frequently is the one onto the Schuylkill heading west by 30th St Station. That ones is terrible!
michael gudgeon 6:25:10 PM
its goin good just got back from dinner! was doing some reminiscing earlier during readies show, i was remembering a drive show you and her did i believe on her show, or maybe it was your slot or both, but it was one of my favorite shows ever!
Randy Marthins 6:25:25 PM
@lizbot "I took 206 all the way up to New Paltz, NY" o often say that a band hasn't made its "get in the van" bones until it's played Poughkeepsie (as I've done)
Randy Marthins 6:26:48 PM
The worst is 42/295 - the "Winchester House" of highway projectd
Lizbot (host) 6:28:03 PM
@michael gudgeon - Oh nice! Do you remember the theme? I love those spring co-hosting show with Readie & I! We feed off each other's energy!
michael gudgeon 6:29:06 PM
it was either 2016 or 2019 era, i don't even particularly remember the specific songs, just how much i thought you guys leveled up with each others presence!
Lizbot (host) 6:29:09 PM
@Randy Marthins - haha, I have been to the Winchester House - made a special pilgrimage there during a CA trip! Yeah, that sounds bad!
Lizbot (host) 6:30:57 PM
@Randy Marthins - I once drove a van with NO seats in the back - just the two bucket seats for driver and front passenger - chock full of punks to a Food Not Bombs talk we got paid a pretty decent fee by Vassar to deliver to a smathering of vaguely interested undergrads! That was decades and the last time I remember driving in Poughkeepsie!
michael gudgeon 6:31:06 PM
always here for the great music, but when the dj's really speak to you in the moment really ramps the experience!!!
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:31:25 PM
Lizbot: I remember the show that you both did together during the afternoon, during a pledge drive where I won a "Moon Duo" CD!!!
michael gudgeon 6:31:51 PM
YESS ALAN!!!
Lizbot (host) 6:32:06 PM
@michael gudgeon - haha, yes, that tends to happen! I love singing on mic with Readie and I as well! I always bring in my tap-bells to ring when pledges come in! It's a lot of fun when the two of us get together!
Bike R (pledge!) 6:32:17 PM
love this history!
michael gudgeon 6:32:28 PM
the show im talking about im fairly certain was a readie slot friday night but it's been some years!
michael gudgeon 6:34:01 PM
@lizbot YESSSSSSS and that's obv not to take away how great you are always lizbot! i have questions i still have for you from a 2019 show!
Lizbot (host) 6:34:10 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Noice! I have done a Moon theme before, but it probably wasn't during that
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:35:09 PM
"Moon Duo" then by coincidence "Moondog"
Lizbot (host) 6:36:13 PM
@michael gudgeon - Yeah, we did the back-to-back Thursday and Friday co-hostings for many Spring Membership Drives! Now Readie is on Thursdays too, so it will be a double-dose of Liz & Readie all amped up on the same day come Spring!
Lizbot (host) 6:36:41 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Yeah, I misread yr comment as "Moondog" at first because Moondog was on my mind!
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:36:58 PM
Lizbot: And I'm sure the swag T-shirt was a girl who took a baseball bat to the TV and listened to WPRB
michael gudgeon 6:37:02 PM
@lizbot cant wait!
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:37:22 PM
(blue shirt)
michael gudgeon 6:45:23 PM
went to Bonnaroo in 2018 with no real gameplan, pretty much went to exclusively techo/edm sets the entire weekend, verdict pretty enjoyable, probably a few years past my prime but was nice to experience. And silent disco was probably one of the coolest experiences i had!
Lizbot (host) 6:45:42 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Oh I remember that graphic well! I still have that saved on my computer!
michael gudgeon 6:45:54 PM
( not particularly a fan then or now but do enjoy it)
Lizbot (host) 6:46:13 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Of course I could not tell you what year that was! Definitely a good number of years back! It's all a Pledge Drive blur!
michael gudgeon 6:47:22 PM
i can remember waking up early in the morning and not knowing if the beats were still playing of the stuff was lasered into my brain and i was manufacturing the sounds in my head
Alan Parsec Paidup 6:48:02 PM
Lizbot: around 2016ish me thinks, 'cause I was taking care of my mom at the time..
Lizbot (host) 6:48:03 PM
@michael gudgeon - Oh nice. Yeah, my feelings on big musical festivals are mixed. I have had really good times at some, but there are many caveats, and the vibe of the crowd influences the experience so heavily. I would probably have gravitated towards the EDM stuff as well.
Lizbot (host) 6:49:23 PM
@michael gudgeon - Have you checked out Making Times' Transcendental fest at Fort Mifflin in SW Philly near the Phila International Airport? It's every September. Lots of techno and ambient. Usually a good time. 2-3 days. I usually just do one day
michael gudgeon 6:50:11 PM
yeah i did get to see bon iver, and anderson paak that were def highlights of non edm stuff, but all the energy and dancing was pretty unmatched, felt like all the late night stages were just on a diferent level
Lizbot (host) 6:50:35 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Yeah, that seems about right. Certainly back while all DJs still broadcast out of the main studio
Randy Marthins 6:51:16 PM
@lizbot "the last time I remember driving in Poughkeepsie!" our guitar player had a girl (cousin? Girlfriend? Both? Never got the clear pic on that) who would book us up there ever 6 weeks or so, so we'd make the trip from Philly ; great pizza though!!!
Randy Marthins 6:51:43 PM
Sorry - I'm trying to keep up LOL
michael gudgeon 6:52:13 PM
@lizbot i have not, i've been to firefly 2014 and roo 2018, that sounds really great, i guess the phase in my life now, i don't get to see live music all that much, but i do get excited thinking about the shows and bands i still want to see!
Lizbot (host) 6:52:19 PM
@michael gudgeon - The vibe at Making Time Transcendental is usually good. To its credit, there are many sizes of stages and some are indoors, some outdoors, so you can vary your experience. Also usually has cool art installations
michael gudgeon 6:52:37 PM
and would def experience a festival again when the time is right
michael gudgeon 6:52:52 PM
yeah that sounds amazing lizbot!
Randy Marthins 6:53:06 PM
They used to have great festival weekends on penns landing - river blues, jambalaya jam stand out
Lizbot (host) 6:53:28 PM
@Randy Marthins - I don't mind driving around that Hudson River area though! Can be very pretty!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:53:39 PM
Howdy Lizbot, I have been listening quietly since the beginning today. I just made a small one-time donation
michael gudgeon 6:54:03 PM
my buds would go to roo every year for like a decade, i went after they all stopped, but 2 of my buddies wanna do a 1 last timer, we were pretty close 2024 but fell through!
Lizbot (host) 6:54:07 PM
@Randy Marthins - haha, no problem! I used to go up that way a lot as a teen to go on camping trips in the Hudson River Valley, but haven't been in that area much for a long time
michael gudgeon 6:54:10 PM

@michael gudgeon - I almost took my teen daughter to Firefly a few years back when an artist she liked at the time, Girl In Red, was playing there, but it conflicted with her camp schedule, and the artist ended up coming to Philly finally about a year later (She's from Norway)

@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - Spotted any good birdage in your area recently? It's been too cold in the yard for me to hang there long, but I've been taking walks in the Wissahickon in northwest Philly. Mainly just seeing mallards there

I made up a joke - a German immigrant got a job as a riveter; he was lucky enough to get a job on this bridge crossing the Hudson River, but the bridge had no name. They tried and tried to come up with one, but decided "let Fate name our bridge" One day, the people financing the project came upon the riveter while he was working. He was very serious and dedicated to his job, so they stopped to chat with with him "hello" they said "hello back" he answered "so what are you doing today?"
Lizbot (host) 6:58:48 PM
@michael gudgeon - You should do it! I usually don't regret fests! I just don't overdo it by trying to see eveeeerything there any more1

Rob from Maryland 🦀 7:01:13 PM
@Lizbot, nothing too exciting vis a vis birdage. An adult Cooper's Hawk flew low (like 25 or 30 feet over) over our street the other day. We have seen and heard Purple Finches a few ties

Lizbot (host) 7:09:29 PM
@Randy Marthins - Long Live the Tappen Zee! I heard talk years ago of it possibly renamed? That better not have happened!
Ears 7:10:06 PM
Right on! I just popped in to see if I was hearing what I'm hearing. Carry on ❤️
Lizbot (host) 7:10:20 PM
Greetings Ears! haha, indeed you are!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 7:11:17 PM
I'm hearing red, wishing I hadn't switched away. I'm back now
Lizbot (host) 7:11:36 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - Hearing red vs. seeing red
Rob from Maryland 🦀 7:12:06 PM
@Lizbot, those are House Finches, if you are seeing them in your yard or on phone wires or the like in Philly
Randy Marthins 7:12:17 PM
@lizbot "I heard talk years ago of it possibly renamed? That better not have happened!" renaming doesn't matter - people will still call it that; like The Electric Factory or MAC Machines LOL
Lizbot (host) 7:12:22 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - As it should be! Red for the red cardinals hanging in my driveway!
Lizbot (host) 7:12:54 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - yeah, I'm seeing a buncha those and the cardinals are still hanging out
Rob from Maryland 🦀 7:13:30 PM
Cardinals are so cool

Lizbot: Talking bridges, the Golden Gate Bridge was built between 1933 and 1937, during the Great Depression (1929 to 1939), but today the Gateway Tunnel in NJ remains with it's funding Cancelled by guess who??? Sheesssh!!! go figure....Hmmmmmm...
Randy Marthins 7:14:17 PM
My moms favorite bird - my MIL too, after Owls
Randy Marthins 7:15:16 PM
And I was born in st louis
Lizbot (host) 7:15:26 PM
@Randy Marthins - YES. Mac Machines! The Electric Factory is an infinitely better name than boring "Franklin Music Hall" The name was the best thing that venue had going for it pre-renaming. Otherwise, terrible sightlines there! The worst is winding up in the area under the balcony on the rightside. No view of stage but a large area that gets filled when sold out or nearly sold out shows! Ended up there the last time Echo & The Bunnymen came and was pissed!
Lizbot (host) 7:17:24 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - I especially like the derpy awkward adolescent male cardinals when their crests haven't fully come in yet and they're all splotchy with drab feathers and spots of red! They just look like the bird embodiment of that voice-breaking pimply teen boy on The Simpsons. Their reward is that, if they make it through adolescence, they end up being some of the coolest looking birds!
Lizbot (host) 7:19:55 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - ugh, yeah we can't seem to build new...or hell, even maintain...infrastructure anymore. I love a good bridge! I walked with my daughter all the way across the Golden Gate and the Brooklyn Bridge...and the Ben Franklin a few times. She was very little when we crossed the Golden Gate and she needed to pee halfway through, but we made it! THe biggest challenge was finding a business she could pee in on the other side that was walking distance!
Alan Parsec Paidup 7:20:56 PM
(Couldn't help mentioning it as I have a Degree in Civil Eng.)
Lizbot (host) 7:22:11 PM
@Randy Marthins - Owls are awesome, but man, I saw a crazy scratch on the forehead of my husband's cousin's husband when we visited them in Vermont. He jogs every morning in Shelburne Farms and he must've jogged too close to an owl's nest. HUGE owl. like a great-horned, swooped down on him and scratched him!
Teresa Peacock 7:23:10 PM
Hello Lizbot & all of my DoublePlusBetters! Is it too early to declare 2025 the year of great bands that have a 1-word/2-syllable name that begins with "Sn"? That is to say -- I LOVED that Snuggle track and I also can't get enough of all the Snooper tracks that I hear on this here station!
p4tti (chef) 7:23:27 PM
love this trackkk
Lizbot (host) 7:23:44 PM
Hi p4tti (chef)! Yes, so good! Digging the new Tortoise a lot!

People have been talking up the new Tortoise album. First Ive heard, it does sound good.
Lizbot (host) 7:26:27 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Ah, haha, guess what - My dad was a woodworker who also loved bridges and building and he took us to many bridges and the Hoover Dam! I will always have a fascination with the stuff the Army Corps of Engineers built!

Lizbot (host) 7:27:18 PM
@Alex from Media (formerly Alex Crowe) - Layered Presence is definitley my favorite track from the new Tortoise. Lots of other good stuff on the album, Def some is more techno-y than their typical stuff
Lizbot (host) 7:28:07 PM
@Teresa Peacock - I think you are on to something! November is not too early!
Alan Parsec Paidup 7:29:32 PM
Lizbot: Some beautiful bridges in Phliiy, my fave The Walt Whitman suspension , also Truss and Beam and Stone Arch bridge on the River drive and up the Wissahickon Drive...

@Teresa Peacock - So many good new album right now! Basking in all the new autumn release goodness! Yeah, Snuggle album is great!
Alan Parsec Paidup 7:33:41 PM
Lizbot: What instrument is that in "Sourdough" ???
Lizbot (host) 7:34:58 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Well I live in NWest Philly, so I'm slightly biased, but the Wissahickon stone arch bridge is undeniably beautiful! But as far as the big Philly bridges, I've always been partial to the Ben Frank cuz I grew up taking the PATCO HiSpeed Line in to Philly from South Jersey and the view of the Delaware River going over the bridge was always exciting to me as a kid. Still a great bridge to walk across in the spring, provided you bring a sunhat!
Lizbot (host) 7:41:16 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Hrmmm. Perhaps the sound of yeast growing
Alan Parsec Paidup 7:42:53 PM
Lizbot: Maybe Oboe, doesn't matter except I thought I heard that instrument used on some Philip Glass song..
Lizbot (host) 7:43:00 PM

Alan Parsec Paidup 7:43:56 PM

Place names in NYC area are so great between Dutch and native American words! Spuyten Duyvel! Hoboken!
Lizbot (host) 7:49:39 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - Love the oboe...If I went back and listened to it again, I'd probably parse out which instrument you were referring to, but alas, I saw your comment a couple songs later
Lizbot (host) 7:50:02 PM
@Alex from Media (formerly Alex Crowe) - Spuyten Duyvel is pretty great!

@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - I feel slightly bad when I laugh at dopey adolescent cardinals, but I think they can handle it! I have a Charly Harper print of a cardinal in winter. One of the best winter birds!

Alan Parsec Paidup 7:59:26 PM
going out with Cocteau Twins makes it a Perfect show....
Lizbot (host) 7:59:42 PM
@Kerroffle - Although by rites I guess it should be a show in the Hudson River Valley! Notice I played Half Waif from that region in the penultimate set!
Kerroffle 7:59:51 PM
Oh yeah, that show with all the commercials...
Lizbot (host) 8:00:15 PM
@Alan Parsec Paidup - I thought so! Thanks! Can't beat Cocteau Twins to float out on into the airwaves
