I remember a hilarious Jay McInerney essay profiling RL Burnside in the New Yorker called White Man At The Door.

Col Bruce, ever the prankster, had one last great live appearance where he uh... was not pranking or faking when he made his grand exit. He had been known to fake a fall and pretend to pass out on stage. This was at a tribute show to Bruce w/many other musicians on stage. Sad but a little dark humor as well.

Like that Baby Grandmothers lp. Found out about them from a Swedish guy who had a blog back 20 years ago. Maybe he still does. Chris goes rock on blogspot (remember blogspot!?). He would post about that album repeatedly. And some other Swedish and Euro psych, garage, prog etc.

Yeah... he's done so much research... and he's got it narrowed down... he thinks it was a guy named Eddie... - I love that one for how simple it is and unexpected.
