Beck Stein, I had read of Zappa but never heard him. A counselor at the nature camp I was at, one day recited a bunch of lines from side one of the album "Apostrophe" and I was quite intrigued. I bought the album as soon as I could and loved it. I didn't get deep into Zappa though, mostly just that album

Frustratingly, I cannot play much Zappa because of all the vulgarity. While we are not dependent on Gubmint funding, the FCC could slap a penalty on us.

A friend of mine in HS told me that Zappa called his hair "brain ends" as a kid. That set the tone for me that lasted across the years.

It's also very nice to hear these different interpretations of his work, it's not till I recognize a single chord or arrangement that makes me go "Oh yeah, I HAVE heard this before!"

I can certainly understand the amount of people that would love to cover him, but it's a substantial number. You have thrown in the odd cover now and again, but this must have been fun and strange to research this show.
