i would say there was a lot of music that i got into on my own and discovering and high school was like letting go of my fav bands through 8th grade like tool and rush and pretty much discovering at the drive-in/the mars volta, and when volta came out with there second album i would listen to it nonstop and just remember coming in to school with that fresh album and when i would have to take it off be like yo life is so boring without volta in my ears

yeah i loved metallica alot rush tool heavy stuff, but i broke away at some point, like i had napster and alot of my neighbors were like in to hardcore bands and making hardcore bands and i was like up until that point there is no better band than tool

Tool is so so so so good but sometimes like great jazz it can attack the ears, but the rock aspect of tool makes it so much better
