It is SOOOOOO nice out! I have to drive from Marlton to Southampton for this game so it will be prob actually be chilly out on the field tonight. BUT my dad is coming to watch his grandaughter play and we're going to the Pic-a-lilly after! So exctied! :-D

@ParrScream - oh man, i got SO many clothes and effluvia at Village Thrift, especially in the early 2000s! I was probably there with my friend Mary at the same time as you, we stopped there so often. It was also located conveniently between where I lived in Philly and where my parents lived in South Jersey!

the kristi noem soundbites i've heard today, after her visit with the city governor and mayor etc., her account of what is going on here- I don't know what planet she's on.

Yes we missed Lene's short set due to their lack of staff checking bags on the line going into the venue. But oh well. Still had a great time. We were staying about half hour away so an easy ride to and fro. I would NOT want to follow Devo wow. They delivered and then some. Jerry and Mark bounced around the stage like kids! Great video screens with eye candy. Super hi energy sound. Freedom of Choice at the end of the set wow. Love that band.

Ive seen R.E.M. twice ever - I definitely slept on that

@Scurrow Squirrel - I saw R.E.M. for the Monster tour, an ill-fated tour! It was the first time I saw them. Then I saw them twice for Up - Once at the Tibetan Freedom Concert in D.C. before the album was released - they debuted the songs there. Then on the Camden waterfront, where I lucked out an got a seat upgrade to front row from my previously lousy seats! So three times total for me and I wish more. Still have my Monster tour shirt

@Brian D - I knooooooow! It was SUCH a bummer! She would have had a WAY bigger audience, but most people were stuck in that endless security line parallel to the parking lot! I got there relatively early and it still took forever to get inside! I was expecting it to be run like The Mann Music Center or Forest Hills Stadium - other similar amphitheaters - but it was sooooo slow for seemingly no reason

@Brian D - DEVO blew me away. Not the first time I've seen them by any means, but one of the best. I love them so much. They've always been one of my favorite bands, way near the tippy top of my list. Mark was leaping off and back on the stage and sliding around on his knees! Bob Mothersbaugh tossed me his guitar pick at the end! It's red and says "Bob 1" on it! Got the B-52s setlist sheet too, one of them, anyway!

i happened to hear hammond song out and about here in war ravaged portland, this monday on a glorious warm sunny afternoon. after taking mom to doctor visit, i stopped for a beer and writing in journal and the little brew pub/food cart place was playing the best tunes, including this one. sun was shining...fall light fades but music never does.

i almost played the song on my show the other day but glad you are playing it for all of us!

@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - I miss the catbird when its not there. It's somehow a comfort, like a familiar friend! I guess I am a glutton for its bullying! But I enjoy watching it flit about my yard, and I admire how fearless and pushy it is with me. It's its yard and it won't have it any other way! This Mirah song goes out to that catbird!

@Kristin Belz - Music never dies! So true. These songs live in my head. I think that's one of the reasons it sustains us in dark times. There's nothing like listening to Hammond Song on a sunny wistful afternoon walk or drive through nature.

Yes the hens went to a very happy home with friends of ours who already had three of their own. I have been getting updates! The reptiles and cats are mostly settled, though Hawkeye did end up getting bit by the tree boa! The dogs are a little more unsettled but working on it.

Hello Marcus Haupt! Happy to help! Man, I encountered a lot more traffic than usual enroute to Princeton today, and I didn't even take Rte 1 this time! 206 was super backed up. It seemed like something big was going on, an event? The campus itself didn't seem unusually crowded, but traffic until a few blocks from downtown Princeton was crazy. Taking Rte 1 home!

@addie 🐍🐍🐍 plum - oh no, how much damage can a tree boa inflict?!

@addie 🐍🐍🐍 plum - I did the same thing with my last batch of hens! Not because of a move, but because we were so bonded to our previous flock for many years, and after they all met their end due to a fox getting into their coop one night, I got new chicks, but my heart wasn't in the second flock and a gardener woman who I trust and who already had hens offered to take them, so I felt good about it

@addie 🐍🐍🐍 plum - Surprised the cats adjusted before the dogs did, but then again, dogs are so territorial! Nuala is still adjusting to a couple new dogs moving in next door, infringing on what she believes is her turf!

Well Duckie is VERY NERVOUS about city noises and people on the sidewalk. And hasn’t found a safe location to lay down yet. So he is skittering around like a 70 pound pinball.

The cats are very excited to have so many new books and crannies to explore.

@addie 🐍🐍🐍 plum - Oh boy, okay that makes sense re: Duckie. I didn't think of the drastic difference between country and city living for a dog! I guess I never moved a dog between those two environments. He's probably experiencing a sensory overload that will take some adjustment to resolve!

@addie 🐍🐍🐍 plum - Were the cats yowling during the drive? It seems every friend who's moved a cat a long distance experiences some kitty displeasure during the drive. At least the end result is happy excited cats!
