I wore my Ike & Tina t-shirt when I saw Peter Stampfel almost exactly a year ago at Roosevelt Borough Hall in western Monmouth County. He told me the Holy Modal Rounders opened for them in 1968!

I might end my 20 year boycott of the Stone Pony to see Redd Kross there. It's easier than going to Baby's All Right where Das Damen are opening for them Saturday.

I thought "Shame, Shame, Shame" was from the Rolling Stones’ “Tattoo You” album! There are multiple songs with that title. I don’t think the song the Stones recorded is the same one Smiley Lewis sang as Eli Wallach chased Carroll Baker through an attic in this Elia Kazan film:

The TY song was a blues cover. The BAB track was different. I checked them both out this afternoon.If I'm wrong, my ear is worse than I thought.

This Tuesday: Dirty Fences play at TV Eye (1647 Weirfield St, Ridgewood, NY) with Nancy, Blue Hundred, Theophobia and TVO.

Then on October 18: Dirty Fences and Wyldlife play outside Rutt’s Hut (417 River Rd, Clifton, NJ), broadcast live on WFMU’s Todd-O-Phonic Todd Show.
