My sister & I went last night. She's a more knowledgeable Stereolab fan than me. There was a big, appreciative crowd there at Union Transfer. The free jazz/pysch rock duo Memorials opened at 8:00, and played a pretty long set. They're from Canterbury and I liked their set; it seemed very improvisational. I'd never heard of Memorials before.

Hearing the Etran de L'Air was wonderful. Related: We saw Mdou Moctar a few weeks ago at the little park in King of Prussia / Upper Merion Twp PA (Concerts Under the Stars 2nd to last of the summer series). That was so much fun. Love that Desert African Guitar. He and band really build up the pieces well into a wild frenzy. They deliver. Take stage, calm then explode, calm then explode! then... boom. they are done and they exit the stage. Crazy light show for a such a tiny outdoor show!
