Yep. Good bad definitely. Saw it in the theater when it came out. Stockard Channing as Mona the magickal fortune teller type that was sent in to help the team. Film mentioned in that recent series on the Lakers w/John C Reilly etc. Good time that one. (Winning Time)

TopNotch First Hour!!

Saw the Ebony Hillbillies last year at the Hoboken arts music fest last year. They were great. A fun time that fest and city.

Brian that Laker series had some good parts but was mostly made up nonsense. Many persons were inaccurately portrayed.

Really wanted to see Waterboys last week but The tix were 82.60 plus fees. Keswick are gangsters

So goes show biz yes. I don't watch them to be accurate on all the characters. Just to see that era of basketball and pop culture unfold. Exaggerating and creating composite characters, embellishing that is par for course in Hollywood.

I was glad it ended with The Lakers losing.

Fisherman's Blues is a classic. Pretty much a short era of sound in that band's career. Other albums sound drastically different. Good that Mike Scott likes to keep it fresh from lp to lp. Old band I was in used to cover that song, really fun to play.

One of John Lee Hooker's best moments. Strips it down to bare essence.

The great Rick Allen of WYSP introduced me to the Waterboys. A truly Wilboesque program on a corporate station.

Have not heard that name in a while. Back when WYSP existed, played music and played various styles. They had a good late Sunday night show the Sunday Six Pack where they somehow skirted regulations and played 6 albums in their entirety. Had my blank tapes at the ready for that night. This was early to mid 1980s

He had a band called The Upsetters pretty good bar band.

Love this cool here in the original. Robert plants version gives me chills, though the best thing he ever did post zeppelin.

If you have a spare 13 - 14 minutes at the end... Iron Maiden's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is quite the vinyl winning the radio moment....

Ha rhyme of the ancient mariner. Boy I ate up all that iron stuff when I was younger loved it.
