Smithereens. Very underrated I think I mean they had critical claim, but they still seem somehow unappreciated. I saw Pat probably not that long before he passed playing a solo show at some little auction house in Audubon New Jersey.. pretty interesting a whole long story before every song. The night they go on for quite a while though I have to say. I think he could've used an editor.

they played for free in springfield when we lived in western mass and i'm so mad at myself that i didn't go

i remember trying so hard to get that mic not to pop for that story. i think it had a pop filter and like a bunch of toilet paper wrapped around it

the pop filter was the wrong size so it was also held on with a scrunchie i believe

Re-Smithereens in Springfield... I could have seen the "Talking Heads" at Rutgers for $1.00 in 1977 but didn't go because I thought it was TV newscasters! Talk about regret!!!!!

So sorry to hear about Bill Commie. Much love from my wife and I. One of the sweetest WPRB chat era memories of past 5 years was I believe during a fund drive. You sang Malvina Reynolds "It Isn't Nice" and Bill accompanied you on guitar. Loved hearing you introduce it and state on air..."Ok here's Bill with his guitar and we're going to do this..." or something along those lines. It was very loving, sweet moment with you 2 and all of us listeners all over! Hearing his fave tunes is great!
