As in when employees of large corporate stores greet you, it's the exact phrase welcome in. odd.

I've never been greeted entering any store in recent memory. Though, I never go to the kinds of stores with greeters to begin with. Clamor Club is all I need.

I retract my statement. I forgot that every Shoprite round here is owned by S*ker. That means a huge American flag in the front and "Proud to be an American" on blast all day every day. That surely counts as being greeted.
