Well, I haven’t had any outright rejections yet, but I haven’t heard back from anyone either. Have applications in at most of the area hospitals, as well as at UPenn. I know it takes forever but dang, I don’t have forever!

Of course ! Penn Med at Princeton/Plainsboro? Capital Health- Hopewell? I know it's farther out...but...

I've heard follow-ups are cool these days - cuz everyone's so busy, etc. it's cool to follow up...a lot

Good morning Readie! Flashback to Thanksgiving circa 1971 and watching Oklahoma on national TV, CBS I believe. Shirly Jones was cute but it was Carousel Julie when I fell in love with her! R&H fan ever since.

It’s hard to send follow ups when you’re just applying in a system and not sending things to a specific known hiring manager, unfortunately.

But i will definitely send follow ups where possible!

I believe those that have a specialty in medical personnel can keep people like you fairly busy while you're looking for a full time position.

BTW, the temp agencies really helped me back in the day- and I will say this- ALL of my temp jobs turned into permanent full time positions- which is to say - it IS possible!

Oh yes, it’s how I originally got into working at the hospital up here in VT. Definitely worth a look! Just sent my resume in to a couple of agencies.

Readie: I was saddened to hear that astronaut Jim Lovell passed away last Thursday. He is most famous for the first human trip to the moon (Apollo 8) in 1968, also the Apollo 13 mission. But it was his Gemini 7 longest duration flight (at the time) with Frank Borman, that he and Frank sang " He'll Have to Go" over and and over again.... for 14 days in space!!!
