The 5th chapter in Nick Tosches' "Unsung Heroes Of Rock 'n' Roll" is about Wynonie: https://creem.com/archive/article/1979/08/01/wynonie-harris
Sonny Boy Williamson III (host) 10:34:27 AM
Apparently Wynonie Harris was particularly popular in Jamaica and influenced the development of Ska. https://500songs.com/podcast/episode-114-my-boy-lollipop-by-millie/

"It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry". Whatever that means.

I didn’t know until now there was an actual place called Yazoo! I’ve only heard of the record label and the expression “stick it up your yazoo”. Apparently there’s also a Depeche Mode splinter group by that name, but I trust I won’t be hearing them on this program (hopefully nowhere else either).
Sonny Boy Williamson III (host) 11:10:36 AM
Little risk of that!
