I took up knitting and was having a lot of fun but my older wrists couldn't take it. I also may have gotten carried away spending too many hours at first. I made a really nice hat and a crazy scarf

That can happen! I find that if I do a particular craft too much my hands will hurt! There are some great exercises and stretches you can do. Or just take up a new hobby!

I discovered I could not watch TV with subtitles when knitting ...

I may EASE back into it - I am a musician so messing with hands and wrists wasn't worth it

What did you think you were going to do today?

I watch british crime dramas when I am stitching. You can miss a few minutes and still catch the plot

I was planning to iron and clean up my sewing room. This is much better!

I think British people are speaking English. But yes - subtitles are often required with Brit and Irish shows . OH glad nothing more fun got side lined. You can be sitting in clutter in your wrinkled clothes... it is ok.

The first thing I remember learning to iron is an Autumn Leave between 2 pieces of Wax Paper - Eventually I learned to do shirts too - a professional life on the road. I like hotel ironing boards and irons.

Just finished a bit of work and now off to do Sunday things... thanks for being there and doing that Stitch in Pink thing you do

I did that with my daughter when she was young! And I taught my friends in college how to do that with autumn leaves
