| Kadri Gopalnath Pranamamyaham - Gowla - Aadi Mysore Vasudevachar Popular Krithis on Saxophone Pyramid 1996 Kadri Gopalnath (1949 – 2019) pioneered the saxophone in Carnatic music. One of his teachers was vocalist and mridangam player T. V. Gopalakrishnan. Kadri Gopalnath made some adaptations to the saxophone to permit playing Carnatic music.

Since the 1993 Grammy award winning CD "A Meeting By The River" with V. M. Bhatt and Ry Cooder, the Water Lily Acoustics label has been attempting to get lighting to strike again by bringing together all kinds of disparate musicians. (It does not always result in great music.) |
