Loving this show every week Kosto! Shoegaze was something that I wasn't into for the most part when I was younger (because I'm a fool) but I have been REALLY enjoying your sets over the past few weeks!

Trying to! At the shore now, might have to run to the 7-11 for some more drinks and snacks perchance.

I can say that the gaze scene now has more variety than ever before, with regional scenes both in the real world and online spaces. I really enjoy stuff that flirts with blackgaze and dream pop, especially many of the Korean and Japanese musicians.

Nice! I wish I was down the shore. I'm heading down next week.

You go in the ocean today?

I might! I forgot to bring a bag to hide my stuff though so probably just a short dip. The ocean is still really cold rn

I was telling me buddy about Parannoul last week (after hearing White Ceiling) and of course I have to text him every time Deafheaven comes on as they are one of his favorites.

Yup, love a ton of Japanese and Korean shoegaze artists @TAndy. Personally, my favorites would probably be Parannoul, BrokenTeeth, DellaZyr (more dreamy but lots of shoegaze elements), kinokoteikoku, and my dead girlfriend (the last of which will be featured on the show later)! Lots of great artists around the world just uploading their stuff to bandcamp and youtube these days.

Kinokoteikoku and Parannoul are extra stand outs IMHO! Check out dotstokyo sometime too, they were wonderful.

Love the local regional scene too. TAGABOW, Jane Remover, Her New Knife, Knifeplay, High... So many bands around here 💙

Haven't checked out any Her New Knife or Knifeplay, will be sure to do so soon. Blue Smiley is also awesome. And of course Jane Remover as well.

Both are Philly bands!

How could I forget Wednesday too... They're from North Carolina and they do Countrygaze, which is another fusion genre. God I love Shoegaze.

Yeah I loved Rat Saw God but haven't checked out their newest record - so much good music to choose from these days.

Now, I have always loved Slowdive....

Slowdive is up there with MBV imo

Yeah definitely, I feel like they are both among the most iconic/greatest shoegaze groups of the early/mid 90s and beyond. Didn't super love the newest slowdive album but it still had plenty of great songs.

Haha yeah, I only found Tokyo Shoegazer recently but really like their stuff. Feels dreamy in the same way that slowdive does I feel.

This Coaltar is everything I love. The tender chords and harmonization go crazy

Have you guys ever listened to Envy? I think you played a Sadness song a few weeks ago that so reminded me of Envy.

The name Envy sounds familiar but I can't recall anything specific.

I haven't heard of envy but will also look into them along with the other recommendations shared earlier.

This whole album is excellent - my favorite track from it is kanojo ga tsumetaku waratta @ParrScream

Wow thanks @TAndy, means a lot. Had a lot of fun putting this show together - wish it could have been even longer because a lot of great stuff had to be cut out to make it just 2 hours.
