Patrick White (1) 8:26:58 AM
Greetings and Good Morning to Marvin and his listeners
Richard of Rocky Hill 9:00:25 AM
@ Marvin Rosen (host) What a sumptuous composition is the Faugues piece!
Marvin Rosen (host) 9:12:58 AM
Yes, Richard, a wonderful piece by one of many little known composers who deserve more recognition!!
Richard of Rocky Hill 9:17:02 AM
That's what I treasure about Treasures of Early Music and Classical Discoveries ~ each week, instead of playing (pardon the expression ...) the same old canon, you give recognition to such lesser known but absolutely superb composers. Keep up the good works!
Marvin Rosen (host) 9:27:05 AM
Thanks Richard for your kind words!! As I say, the only way you will hear a Beethoven Symphony on Classical Discoveries is if Beethoven is conducting it!!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:27:46 AM

Rob an addendum to yesterday Van cliburn concerts .the venue only held 15 k but 30 k would show up.additionally thousands stood outside.people were abandoning cars on Strawberry Mansion bridge because of the traffic.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:53:54 AM
Patrick, thanks for yesterday's info and the update. I had already left for the dentist so I didn't see your reply until the afternoon
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:57:24 AM
That bridge is a couple of miles from the Mann Center??!! Wow, that's a lot of people
Patrick White (1) 10:00:42 AM
Outdoor classical music drew much larger crowds than the Phillies in those days.I believe the newspapers had discount concert coupons
Patrick White (1) 10:21:30 AM
Speaking of early risers I remember getting on 95 s at 545 am with PRB playing the Peanuts theme and then Marvin’s wonderful show easing the horror of I 95 commuting
Matt Sabbath 10:39:27 AM
