Yes, Richard, a wonderful piece by one of many little known composers who deserve more recognition!!

That's what I treasure about Treasures of Early Music and Classical Discoveries ~ each week, instead of playing (pardon the expression ...) the same old canon, you give recognition to such lesser known but absolutely superb composers. Keep up the good works!

Thanks Richard for your kind words!! As I say, the only way you will hear a Beethoven Symphony on Classical Discoveries is if Beethoven is conducting it!!

Rob an addendum to yesterday Van cliburn concerts .the venue only held 15 k but 30 k would show up.additionally thousands stood outside.people were abandoning cars on Strawberry Mansion bridge because of the traffic.

Patrick, thanks for yesterday's info and the update. I had already left for the dentist so I didn't see your reply until the afternoon

That bridge is a couple of miles from the Mann Center??!! Wow, that's a lot of people

Outdoor classical music drew much larger crowds than the Phillies in those days.I believe the newspapers had discount concert coupons

Speaking of early risers I remember getting on 95 s at 545 am with PRB playing the Peanuts theme and then Marvin’s wonderful show easing the horror of I 95 commuting
