Lizbot (host) 5:03:09 PM
Hi Number 6!
Lizbot (host) 5:04:35 PM
It's a special blend of dusty AND muggy outside in BargeTown! I'm glad the studio A/C is working!
Number 6 5:08:08 PM
Did you get a hat in your swag? Mine was checked in the packing slip, but it wasn't there.
Lizbot (host) 5:09:30 PM

Number 6 5:13:22 PM
Okay, I will have to contact Jon about that.

George Korein 5:15:59 PM

Lizbot (host) 5:16:30 PM
Hi Richard of Rocky Hill!
Lizbot (host) 5:18:31 PM
@Richard of Rocky Hill - When I came downstairs today, there was bright hot sun but my car was soaked and I didn't even see the downpour. It went from chilly and rainy to muggy hot and humid!
Lizbot (host) 5:19:31 PM
@Brian D - Don't let that shirt get too far
Richard of Rocky Hill 5:19:42 PM

I lub dat magic band album!
Ossy 5:20:48 PM
great quirky ambience smells, liz!
Lizbot (host) 5:21:19 PM
@jimbooooo - Didn't get to chat when you appeared in The Chat last Thursday at 8 pm because I have a live DJ coming into the Barge after me this season, so I had to close out the playlist system and hand the reigns over to her promptly, but good to see you here early today!
Lizbot (host) 5:21:31 PM
Hi Ossy! The smells of iced lollies melting!
Ossy 5:21:55 PM
especially like silly Tara, biting a smelly-good flower! https://tarasands.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/biopic.jpg
Lizbot (host) 5:22:06 PM
This song is the anthem of any kid whose ice cream truck popsicle melts faster than the rate at which they can consume it
Lizbot (host) 5:22:41 PM
@jimbooooo - "Like two flamingos in a fruit fight" is one of my favorite lines in any song ever!
Ossy 5:23:08 PM
Mmmm can sure go for chocolate fudge melted ice cream like chocolate boy from nickolodeon's icionic cartoon hey arnold!
Lizbot (host) 5:23:24 PM
@jimbooooo - funny you should appear, because I have some friends of yours coming up very soon
Lizbot (host) 5:24:56 PM
@Ossy - oh man, the cones are surely melting along with the cream in this crazy heat. It's too soon, being mid-June!
jimbooooo 5:27:03 PM

Allie Toad 5:33:49 PM
any chance you could play some SpOwdEr ?
Lizbot (host) 5:34:43 PM
@jimbooooo - I only just noticed today (maybe I knew this before and forgot...) that long-time friend and former George K collaborator Helena Espvall of Espers guests on cello on this album!
Lizbot (host) 5:35:03 PM
Hi Allie Toad!
jimbooooo 5:35:57 PM
Oh cool!
Lizbot (host) 5:36:01 PM
@Allie Toad - Glad to hear the show has helped you out! I was also having a lousy day, and being in studio always helps!
Carlos Ramone. 5:36:04 PM
Greetings from a soon to be stormy Montco
Lizbot (host) 5:36:10 PM
Hi Carlos Ramone.!
Space Cowboy 5:36:36 PM
This show is how I like my car radio to sound
Lizbot (host) 5:36:39 PM
@Carlos Ramone. - Yeah, I'm kinda expecting to be stuck in a [hopefully brief] downpour on my drive back to Philly
Lizbot (host) 5:36:45 PM
Hi Space Cowboy!
Carlos Ramone. 5:36:50 PM
Glad to hear you on Thursday again
Space Cowboy 5:36:51 PM
Big storm rolling in!

love this track :D historic album for lucy catemoji.....
Lizbot (host) 5:39:03 PM
@jimbooooo - Helena and George made an album as a duo called Nimix & Arx a long time ago. My cat Po was present for the sessions
Lizbot (host) 5:39:27 PM
Hi Lucy Catemoji!
Lizbot (host) 5:39:55 PM
@Carlos Ramone. - Yes! It was messing with my entire sense of time when I was on earlier in the week!
Lizbot (host) 5:40:57 PM
@Lucy Catemoji - The No Eyed Girl track, I presume?
Richard of Rocky Hill 5:40:59 PM
@Lizbot (host) I love that on the mic break you described Mario Bava's "Danger: Diabolik" as a ridiculous fun movie. The 1960s euro-spy genre was of course so lovingly (and _perfectly_) sent up by Quentin Tarantino in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" when career downward-spiraling actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) goes off to Italy to make cheesy James Bond ripoff action flicks. Even the soundtrack music excerpt sounded marvelously like "Driving Decoys" by Ennio Morricone. Ciao bella!
Lizbot (host) 5:42:06 PM
@Space Cowboy - Yikes! I can't tell if it's raining here in Princeton yet. This studio has no unblocked window. It's always a surprise when I open the door at 8 pm!
Lizbot (host) 5:43:33 PM
@Richard of Rocky Hill - Yes! And I love the song "Deep Deep Down" by singer "Christy" Brancucci on that soundtrack as well! The euro-spy genre is so fun when it doesn't take itself too seriously!
Mary Jones 5:43:43 PM
Checking in from outer Norristown, where it is all black sheets of rain.
Space Cowboy 5:43:46 PM
We are getting blasted
Lizbot (host) 5:44:02 PM
Hi Mary Jones!
Mary Jones 5:44:27 PM
Hello Lizbot and chat!
Space Cowboy 5:44:31 PM
Storm came up in like ten minutes from sun to walls of rain and thunderstorms
Lizbot (host) 5:44:45 PM
@Mary Jones - Whoa, damn. I'm glad I didn't just drive through that an hour and a half ago!
Mary Jones 5:45:32 PM
@Lizbot yeah, it came in pretty fast—a couple of drops quickly turned into a torrent. I’m typing as the thunder is all around us.
Lizbot (host) 5:45:44 PM
@Space Cowboy - Now I'm racking my brain tryna remember if I left any windows cracked in my car! I think not...but the anxiety is there!
Lizbot (host) 5:46:09 PM
@Mary Jones - ughhhh. I don't wanna drive in that on the way home. I hope it's over by 8!
Mary Jones 5:46:36 PM
@Lizbot I think the worst will be over by then. Maybe even moved out entirely.
Lizbot (host) 5:47:27 PM
@Mary Jones - I hope. Tomorrow I get down the shore for the first time of the year. Just a short weekend visit, but I'm psyched that the rain is supposed to stay away, finally!
Lizbot (host) 5:48:03 PM
@Mary Jones - The more I get done tonight (too much) the earlier I can leave tomorrow. I am already plotting which pizza to get
Lizbot (host) 5:49:02 PM
@Mary Jones - If I were going to O.C. I'd get Manco & Manco's at least once, but I'm going to LBI, so it's Queen City Crust all the way!
Mary Jones 5:49:44 PM
@Lizbot oh, nice—and despite the rain, at least we finally have real beach weather. I haven’t been to LBI in years, but we’re getting two weeks in OC this August and I can’t wait.
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 5:49:54 PM
Hey, y'all! I'm taking a break from housecleaning.
Lizbot (host) 5:50:31 PM
@Richard of Rocky Hill - DId you see the 1966 very silly "Modesty Blaise" spy movie? I still laugh to myself when I think of the villain with the extremely exaggerated long-stem glasses
Lizbot (host) 5:50:43 PM
Hi Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly)!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 5:51:47 PM
Lots of talk about the rain! I could use a little bit here on the bone-dry West Coast!
Lizbot (host) 5:54:30 PM
@Mary Jones - Nice! Send Lucy in nearby Margate my love. I haven't been down to O.C. in a coupla years, but I follow the woman who runs the nonprofit that takes care of Lucy the Elephant and their funding sadly got dramatically cut
Space Cowboy 5:55:19 PM
I'm inside but man lightning ⚡🌩️ was close that time could here the sizzle
Lizbot (host) 5:55:45 PM
@Mary Jones - Not to be a downer! O.C. in August should be great. I've been obsessively following the OCEARCH shark tracker! Maybe the water temps will even be warm enough to swim. I usually wait until July for that
Lizbot (host) 5:56:51 PM
@Space Cowboy - Yikes! Thunderstorms and lightning will, for me, forever be tied to that scene in Poltergeist with the lightning striking the tree
Lizbot (host) 5:59:04 PM
@Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) - I was looking at a map The Atlantic put on their site of unusually high humidity predictions for 40 states this summer, and predictably, the only non-humid states on the map were the west coast and the southwest. I hate humidity, and I love the desert, but it's a weather trade-off and fires scare the crap outta me
Mary Jones 5:59:19 PM
@Lizbot yeah, we heard about Lucy—Dennis especially is upset about it. I know we’ll be throwing some money that way when we get down there.
Lizbot (host) 6:00:34 PM
@Mary Jones - It's so messed up. I'm sure you saw photos of what she looked like in periods of major disrepair, like in the 70s. They do such a great job of maintaining her and doing community outreach now. My cousin lives near there and Lucy's such a draw for Margate/Ventnor
Lucy Catemoji 6:01:30 PM
STEREOLAB!!!!! :D :D :D
Ossy 6:02:56 PM
its a roaring water kingdom pouring heavy rain out there 🌧🌧🌧🌧💧💧💧💧💧
Justin Szeliga 6:04:52 PM
WPRB-THE shark- was the best of a truly great & inspired show.
Mary Jones 6:05:08 PM
@Lizbot yeah, I hate to think we’re going back to the bad old days of just letting things fall apart because of …well, we all know.
Justin Szeliga 6:07:15 PM
Although the time he played Manfred Mann's version of Blinded By the Light was rather interesting
Brian D 6:07:20 PM
Comin' atcha with a little double shot rock block party weekend AT THE SHARK FM WSRK! Weather comin' up.
Lizbot (host) 6:09:47 PM
@Lucy Catemoji - The new Stereolab is so good! HAve you heard it? I played it a couple times on air this past few weeks
Lizbot (host) 6:10:08 PM
@Ossy - I'm glad I'm safe and dry in a sealed-off studio!
Lizbot (host) 6:10:14 PM
Hi Justin Szeliga!
Lucy Catemoji 6:10:57 PM
I've heard it!!!! It's remarkable how good form they're in
Brian D 6:11:21 PM
We were down the shore late March to late May. 1st day down there in March had surprisingly great high 80s temps. That 1st day we saw the usual dolphins and a whale (maybe 2) and... a surprise couple of seals sightings.
Lucy Catemoji 6:11:24 PM
like it's not their best record by any stretch of the word but my goodness is a comeback album ever that consistent?
Lizbot (host) 6:11:25 PM
@Justin Szeliga - I miss Provoke the Listener and Jay's antics and wayward "weasel balls"!
Lizbot (host) 6:12:02 PM
@Mary Jones - ughhhhhh. I can't wait for the roads and bridges to get pitted...so pitted
Lizbot (host) 6:12:46 PM
@Brian D - haha, I demand a shark-tracking feature, in concordance with OCEARCH, on WPRB "The Shark"!
Brian D 6:13:11 PM
The Just Drop Inn And You Just Drop Inn And Get Pitted - lovely little bar on the beach
Lizbot (host) 6:14:42 PM
SHOOT! THis just in from my family at home: Power outage at my house! Dang! I have so much to do when I get home before I can go down the shore tomorrow! Rats!
Mary Jones 6:15:18 PM
@Lizbot fingers crossed it comes back soon!
Lizbot (host) 6:15:34 PM
@Lucy Catemoji - Oh yeah, it's way better than I expected! totally solid album.
Lizbot (host) 6:16:16 PM
Just got a huge lightning strike and lights flickered in studio!!
Lizbot (host) 6:16:28 PM
If I go off air, you'll know why!
Justin Szeliga 6:17:19 PM
Jay was just a wonderfully good natured troll, if there be such a thing. He didaa video around easter one year where he tried to see if he could bake a cake substituting Cadbury eggs for chicken eggs. The comments were great, the number of people thinking he was serious
Lizbot (host) 6:18:52 PM
@Brian D - Were you specifically in LBI? I see more whales there than O.C. for sure, i guess since it's a barrier island. Lots of cow-nosed stingrays and dolphins too.
Lizbot (host) 6:19:56 PM
@Brian D - To Live and Die in LBI
Brian D 6:20:55 PM
We were in the Belmar to Point Pleasant area.
Lizbot (host) 6:21:06 PM
@Justin Szeliga - haha, oh man, I didn't know about that particular stunt! I loved when his show was on after me! I hung out in studio and then listened to the rest of it on the drive back to Philly
Richard of Rocky Hill 6:21:44 PM
WEATHER UPDATE -- Severe rain and thunderstorms have now moved into the Princeton area and will likely continue through until about 8 p.m. Check WeatherUnderground or other source for current radar and hourly weather predictions.
Lizbot (host) 6:22:17 PM
@Brian D - Ah. Been there but not in a long while. Used to go with my parents as a kid. Of course we also spotted a lot of sealife in Cape May
Justin Szeliga 6:22:39 PM
I would catch them on the drive home, frequently going from Philly to upper bucks county. I can remember laughing the entire time.
Lizbot (host) 6:22:59 PM
@Richard of Rocky Hill - Thanks for the update! At least it sounds like it should end in Princeton by around when I'm leaving, fingers crossed!
Lizbot (host) 6:24:04 PM
@Justin Szeliga - I wish he'd resurrected the show!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:26:11 PM
Back on the laptop again, listening to "I'm a Doll." :D
Lizbot (host) 6:27:36 PM
@Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) - I love/miss Stereo Total so much!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:28:06 PM
It's total stereo! :D
Richard of Rocky Hill 6:28:12 PM
@ Lizbot (host) I am not a weather forecaster (and I don't even play one on TV ... ) ... but from the radar it looks like a fairly fast-moving front. The worst of it may be through Greater Princeton/Trenton by 8:00 p.m. May the Barge transport you safely through the storm until then!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:28:18 PM
As in totally cool!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:28:41 PM
I hope you guys are staying safe over there!
Lizbot (host) 6:30:54 PM
@Richard of Rocky Hill - oof. I wish the worst of it to hit Princeton was passing through right now!
Lizbot (host) 6:32:08 PM
@Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) - I wish I had my big umbrella with me...Thinking about how I'm gonna keep my equipment on the way to the car!
Brian D 6:33:31 PM
Bada Caterina happily earworming my brain rest of the night
Lizbot (host) 6:34:20 PM
@Brian D - That song frequently pops into my head, complete with malapropism/ mondegreen "Trisket! Spread it on a biscuit!"
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:34:55 PM
@Liz Gotta keep an umbrella and a pair of boots in the car next time! I usually did that when I lived in the South. I hope you'll find a way to lug your equipment safely soon!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:36:13 PM
International mix tonight! :D
Lizbot (host) 6:36:27 PM
@Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) - I do have umbrellas in the car...just forgot to grab one before heading into the studio. Gotta grab that umbrella before the deluge!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:36:30 PM
Musical trail mix!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:37:17 PM
Ahhh, gotcha! I guess you've gotta have keep an umbrella in your backpack or purse every time you're out and about!
Pengy 6:38:20 PM
It just started pouring in Cranbury. Huge sheet rain. Kind of let up though...
Lizbot (host) 6:39:18 PM
Hi Pengy!
Lizbot (host) 6:39:45 PM
@Pengy - Ack! I'm afraid that's coming for me in Princeton just as my show ends at 8
Lizbot (host) 6:40:05 PM
Time for a spaghetti western dinner
Lizbot (host) 6:40:52 PM
@Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) - Yeah, I took my collapsible umbrella out of my bag this morning because my bag was getting too heavy! By the sound of it, seems I need my big umbrella...or ANY umbrella would be good!
Pengy 6:41:08 PM
:) Those were so campy but they really do reflect a more naive time
Lizbot (host) 6:41:34 PM
@Pengy - Yes! I love those Peter Tevis vocals!
Lizbot (host) 6:42:56 PM
@Pengy - Lots of bad overdubbing in those old spaghetti westerns too since the actors were from all over! They had people who only spoke Italian, or only English, or only Spanish sharing scenes and they'd just fix it in post! Their lips never quite matched up!
Pengy 6:43:14 PM
This song makes me want a patty melt lmao. I should have hit the shore today...
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:43:26 PM
@ Liz, any size would be welcome in this case! Gotta have an umbrella strapped! A lot like carrying a firearm with a sling! LOL! We should invent an umbrella sling. :D
Lizbot (host) 6:43:55 PM
@Pengy - From the sound of it, the shore might be getting pummeled today
Pengy 6:44:08 PM
I love reading about how spaghetti westerns become more popular in Europe as the genre became stale here in the states, where the dang things were birthed.
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:44:18 PM
Well, actually, Etsy sells umbrella slings! :D
Lizbot (host) 6:44:20 PM
@Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) - I need an umbrella sling! yes please!
Fried Monkey Eggs (Monkey Jelly) 6:44:35 PM
Answer to your prayer right there, Liz! :D
Ossy 6:45:24 PM
liz for earlier - dried inside in campus library, with air conditioning!
Lizbot (host) 6:46:03 PM
@Pengy - haha, I like reading about their locations. Most were shot in the Spanish desert Tabernas. Hence they had a lot of Spanish-only speakers, plus Italian actors since they were directed and produced by the Italian film industry, and then they threw in some Americans for "authencity" haha
Lizbot (host) 6:46:51 PM
@Ossy - Oof! I'm glad you're safe from the storm!
Ossy 6:47:45 PM
Speaking rain and umbrellas, stay rubber wellies footed! https://www.deviantart.com/deaththeshadow/art/Shopping-x-Hunter-Girls-1185005092
Pengy 6:50:30 PM
Now I wanna watch Once Upon A Time in Hollywood again...
Lizbot (host) 6:51:17 PM
@Ossy - Tell them to send me some of those boots too!
Lizbot (host) 6:51:29 PM
@Pengy - I still have yet to see that one!
Pengy 6:52:47 PM
I genuinely think you'd like it Lizbot. You'd find the plot....relevant haha.
Ossy 6:54:03 PM
liz - hahaha, you're in luck, since 3/4 are royalty and the red one is a city mayor!
Lizbot (host) 6:54:24 PM
@pengy - People talk about that movie so much. I supposed I should finally watch it. I haven't seen any Tarantino in a long time. My favorite of his was not the conventional fav, but i love Jackie Brown
Ossy 6:54:46 PM
plus the lady in red is mario's original girlfriend from the donkey kong arcade game
Pengy 6:55:16 PM
This song is funky af. I like
Lizbot (host) 6:56:52 PM
@Ossy - Whoa, old school Mario trivia!
Lizbot (host) 6:56:59 PM
@Pengy - glad you like it!
Coffeemancer 7:10:15 PM
what up
Coffeemancer 7:10:26 PM
got dang
Lizbot (host) 7:10:33 PM
Hi Coffeemancer!
Coffeemancer 7:10:58 PM
got dangit bobby have you seen my glasses
Pengy 7:11:02 PM
...I kinda wanna make an iced coffee now...
Pengy 7:11:19 PM
I've been inspired
Coffeemancer 7:12:14 PM
share some of that talent with me
Lizbot (host) 7:14:26 PM
@Coffeemancer - I might need some of that! I might be stuck in princeton tonight if the storm coming around 8 pm is as bad as it sounds! It'll be a long night!
Coffeemancer 7:16:07 PM
you might need some Milk Can
Lizbot (host) 7:19:10 PM
@Coffeemancer - I misread that as "you might been some Mick Karn" and I concur
Lizbot (host) 7:20:39 PM
When the torrential rains come at 8ish, do I: a) find the rare business that's open past 8 pm in downtown Princeton? b) sleep in a motel c) accept my new life as a rain sewer demon
Pengy 7:21:54 PM
I think it's mostly passed to be honest...I'm 15 mins east of Princeton and it's cloudy but not raining anymore.
Pengy 7:23:43 PM
Iced coffee was def the move.
Lizbot (host) 7:24:20 PM
@Pengy - I hope so! I poked my head out the studio door and saw the ground was drenched, but only a few drops coming down. That was 10 minutes ago
G Jax 7:25:30 PM
Ironic song..
Lizbot (host) 7:26:12 PM
Hi G Jax
G Jax 7:26:31 PM
Hello Liz
Lizbot (host) 7:27:59 PM
@G Jax - That is Ron Mael/Sparks' specialty! I like the line "You say that your favorite color's brown. In every other way I find you amazing but one. I wish you were fun!
G Jax 7:28:00 PM
But then sometimes peoples definition of what is fun goes in different directions overtime
G Jax 7:29:05 PM
You see the Sparks documentary on Netflix or Amazon Prime? I forget which
Coffeemancer 7:29:53 PM
my chemicals came in the mail earlier this week and i'm happy to announce i've managed to dissolve rasperry ketone in sweet almond oil
Lizbot (host) 7:30:40 PM
@G Jax - oh yes! I was in the Sundance chat live during its premiere a few years ago! It was a "Breakfast with Ron and Russell" where they livestreamed in because it was pandemic days. Loved it!
Lizbot (host) 7:31:23 PM
@Coffeemancer - that made my mouth water. I can't read anything about almonds or raspberries and not get hungry. Two of my favorite flavors
G Jax 7:31:56 PM
I was always aware of Sparks and I knew some of their stuff, but I kinda became a fan after watching that
Lizbot (host) 7:32:23 PM
@G Jax - I loved the doc, esp when they talked about their dad's influence on their taste in music and movies. Their dad looked so much like Ron. Lots of photos and footage I hadn't seen before in that part.
Pengy 7:32:31 PM
@Coffeemancer - making a perfume? I have some friends who work in fragrences.
Lizbot (host) 7:33:47 PM
@G Jax - Of course I love Sparks so much, I would say, I'd naturally enjoy the doc, BUT that can cut both ways. I was worried it wouldnt do them justice, esp since Edgar Wright hadn't made a documentary before, but I was happy with it
Lizbot (host) 7:34:11 PM
@G Jax - And there are so many lackluster cookie-cutter music docs out there
G Jax 7:34:40 PM
Yeah, it was a very well done documentary. Of course, my first exposure to Sparks was probably the same as many who would've been exposed to them any other way..Roller Coaster!!!!
Pengy 7:36:13 PM
Now this is a funky song. Love it
Lizbot (host) 7:38:04 PM
@G Jax - The funny thing is: I love the director Leos Carax (I love "Holy Motors" and his Monsieur Merde character), and I don't care that much for the narrative movies of Edgar Wright, so I was reeeeally looking forward to the Carax/Spark collaborative movie, Annette, and feeling unsure about the Wright "Sparks Brothers" doc. After waiting years after hearing about the Carax/Sparks project, Annette was a disappointment to me, and I liked the wright doc, go figure!
Lizbot (host) 7:38:36 PM
@Pengy - Glad you're digging it! These Glaswegians can get quit funky!
Pengy 7:39:32 PM
While I definitely would have had fun, I doubt I would have survived the 70s and 80s
Lizbot (host) 7:39:49 PM
@G Jax - Yeah, Rollercoaster AND their music was all over "Valley Girl," which is so funny to me to think all these preppies would be playing Sparks at their parties in the early 80s! ha!
Lizbot (host) 7:41:49 PM
@Pengy - I loved the 80s, but I was a kid. Don't know how I would have felt about it as an adult! I was alive in the 70s, but enough to remember much other than two seconds of Carter being president and a few other foggy memories!
Roffled Feathers 7:43:32 PM
Hi Lizbot! Late to the game, love them playlists!
Pengy 7:43:39 PM
I loved being a 90s kid. I'm just saying with the music of the era I would have burned like Icarus muahaha.
Lizbot (host) 7:44:09 PM
@G Jax - Some more SParks to spark more sparks convo
Lizbot (host) 7:44:26 PM
@G Jax - From their underappreciated "Introducing Sparks" album
Lizbot (host) 7:44:33 PM
Hi Roffled Feathers!
Lizbot (host) 7:45:06 PM
@G Jax - Speaking of Ron & Russell's dad...Those Mysteries has the line "Just ask your dad or just go away"
Lizbot (host) 7:45:20 PM
@Roffled Feathers - Happy to have you here now!
Coffeemancer 7:45:32 PM
@lizbot if they make an almond essential oil I would love to get my hands on that
Coffeemancer 7:45:46 PM
@Pengy yes i started making roll-ons
Coffeemancer 7:46:03 PM
this sounds very queenish
Pengy 7:46:16 PM
This song is so good.
Lizbot (host) 7:46:44 PM
@Pengy - haha, I liked being an 80s kid, being raised on synth-pop, which will forever be ear-candy to me, but my parents were old folkies, so they had a very different take on the 80s. The 90s were my high school and college years
Lizbot (host) 7:47:36 PM
@Coffeemancer - oh yeah, this totally could be a Queen song! There was a tour were Sparks opened for Queen back in the day! I'd have done just about anything to be at that show!
michael gudgeon 7:48:00 PM
was in and out lizbot hope ya have a good week!
G Jax 7:48:09 PM
Man, I love this conversation. I wanna get into it more but I have to go great show Liz as always. Thanks for playing the sparks.
Lizbot (host) 7:48:26 PM
Hi Michael Gudgeon!
Lizbot (host) 7:48:55 PM
@Coffeemancer / @G Jax - It's actually more crazy!: In December 1972, Queen opened for Sparks!!! at the Marquee Club in London
Commie Francis 7:49:04 PM
I was driving home from my sister's just now, perfect timing to sing along at the top of my lungs to talking heads and orange juice
Coffeemancer 7:50:20 PM
damn
HTID11 7:54:04 PM
Hey @Lizbot, great set today!! Kept me bouncing along while I finished out another joyous day of deliveries. I especially loved the cheap dinosaurs track which kicked in the moment the skies opened up and the deluge began. I turned the volume up, not down, as I dodged flying tree limbs omw to the next customer. Also thrilled to later find out that it was from Dino Lionetti who've I've chilled with on a few occasions, as he dated my wife bf at the time... Have a good night!!!
Lizbot (host) 7:54:07 PM
Hi Commie Francis!
Roffled Feathers 7:54:37 PM
Queen opened for Sparks! Too cool!
Lizbot (host) 7:54:39 PM
@G Jax - Great Sparks chat!
Lizbot (host) 7:55:21 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:55:50 PM
@Commie Francis - Nice! I love car singalongs!
Jon Solomon 7:56:06 PM
Saw a wild video of a giant tree going down on Nassau Street. How is The Barge holding up?
Roffled Feathers 7:56:41 PM
Hey Number 6! The sun just decided to make an encore here in Philly.
Lizbot (host) 7:57:15 PM
Hi HTID11 - Thanks! Glad you enjoyed Cheap Dinosaurs!
Number 6 7:57:25 PM
@Roffle- Good!
Lizbot (host) 7:57:32 PM
Hi Jon Solomon - So far so good!
Jon Solomon 7:58:19 PM

Roffled Feathers 7:59:48 PM
Good night all! Have the best night!
Lizbot (host) 7:59:56 PM
@Jon Solomon - I've been hearing many stories in the chat of crazy downpours! Unfortunately power is apparently out in my house
Lizbot (host) 8:00:23 PM
See y'all next week! THanks for listening and stay dry!
HTID11 8:01:08 PM
Be safe!!
Coffeemancer 8:02:26 PM
